Lane Kiffin?

USC's O-coordinator and recruiting coordinator was recommended to Michael Crow and Lisa Love.


I would be happy with that hire for ASU and maybe Kiffin would bring some USC's recruiting and coordinators to ASU.


What do you guys think???

No bad intentions here but this was reported this morning in the "Who do you want as the next ASU Football coach" thread. It would be easier to post news on prospective coaches in that thread.

I wouldn't like that hire that much. Their are plenty of other candidates that have a better resume and much much more experience. Bo Pelini is a much better coordinator-to-head coach hire.

Mike Leach has been going around recently, although the Lubbock faithful are getting becoming as disenchanted with him as Sun Devils were with Koetter last year for his inability to get over the hump. Seems like kind of a lateral move for both parties. Although Leach's offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes is interviewing for the vacant OC job at Arizona this week as well which is telling.

Not a big fan of Kiffin, USC's recruiting has some shady elements to it and he is not too well-liked around Troy.

It was in Bickley's column today..... He would also bring Norm Chow to be the Offensive coordinator

Chow would obviously be a coup, but McGinnis is horrible unless he's a merely a figurehead. Perhaps he'll bring Marmie and Mean Joe along with him again. Still not sure who's going to recruit with this duo.

Kiffin's name came up with Miami too, hell of a recruiter, yes there are rumors as to why he's so good at it, but hard to judge his job as OC since they lost so much talent this year.

USC fans love his recruiting, but not his coaching.
