I'm an old man and kind of a draftnik and I see where taking the Pitt. RB especially at his size and speed is the equivalent to taking the smallish FSU rb to be our returnman and possible third down guy if needed.

I'm noticing the smallish guys that are having success in the NFL lately in pocket hercules with the Jags and the Bolts have thier mighty mouse.Maybe we just discovered our own.

It was pointed out above that before McCoy showed up on the scene at Pittsburgh this lil' guy carried the whole load and that shows he can take the punnishment and I think he can get lost behind our lineman and come out the other side and break some long runs in the NFL.

Since I live at FSU,I had wanted to get Jones the lil' rb that was the lead rb for the Noles the last few years and was underused.I was unaware of this guy,yet I had heard his unique name mentioned before.

I think we can carry Beanie,Timmy,Wolf and Davis also due to our lack of fullbacks on our team at the moment.WE could carry two fullbacks and most teams carry 6 rbs on a squad.Just not all are activated.One of our fullbacks will sit out.

I hope this lil' guy gets a full shot to compete and win a spot on our team.I think Breaston needs to focus on just recieving and we don't have J.J. to return punts anymore so this "Could" be our new guy.

I love the Bama Safety.He is in the same hitting mold as A-Dub and will be a team leader in the same mold also.Plus learning under A-Dub will make him even more awesome.

Its a shame we could'nt get near a real center in this draft.Everytime we got close some other team snapped them up.I hope Raiola is a good camp competition for Sendlien to improve.Lots of competition for Latui and thats whats really good.

My last thought is that I wonder if Beanie has anymore toe problems like he had? That could be critical to get him totally checked out before we expose him to too much and have him have to sit out part of the season.I think that toe injury is what made him fall so far in the draft.Not the ankle but the dreaded toe that has almost ended #21's career in San Diego.

I am going to have to disagree. You don't give camp bodies 2 year deals. More then just a pass blocker, he rakes up the special teams tackles and he is a good receiver out of the backfield. Even though he wasn't used much in Cleveland he still managed to catch 25 balls per year the last two years. He is JJ Arrington part two.

He isn't bad running the ball either. A couple years ago when Cleveland had some injuries he started and I believe he put up a couple of hundred yard games.

In fact one of the reasons he left the Browns was because of his frustration at having played well and still not getting a chance after that.

JJ caught the ball well but I think there was some frustration with the coaches when they tried to cross up the defense by running on third down when JJ was in the game. It hardly ever worked.

I think the coaches think that Wright can fill JJ's role as a pass catcher but also give an added bonus of someone who can change things up and run on third downs. Having your third down back being capable of being a decent runner also protects us in case of an injury.

Considering we will most likely only carry 1 FB on the roster, Howling is trying out for the #4 RB spot, special teams, and the PS.

As for the pick it self, not sure why I get worked up about a 7th rounder, if the coaches liked what they saw we shall see, the risk versus reward factor is heavily in the reward factor in the 7th round.

I guess camp body is the wrong choice of words, but I just don't see him making the roster.

After Edge is cut, we have Wells, HT, Wright, and this guy. At FB we have Castille. Did I leave anyone out? Alot of teams go 4 deep at RB and 1 at FB, with possible H-backs at TE to fill in in case of injury at FB.

Give Wright some credit, the guy can tote the rock if called upon, I don't see him going anywhere, we'll carry him as a 4th RB if he makes the team.

IMO, this Howlings guy is on the PS or cut unless he blows up at camp as a KR/PR and pass receiver out of the backfield. We picked him because we didn't want to chance him signing as a UDFA elsewhere, and like his potential.
