Not as big as Karlos Dansby, not as fast as D-Wash, but a bigger heart than both. What a game Larry, glad to have you as a part of this defense!

He had a great game, via shotgun approach.. we found an ex-Steeler with a little bit of tread left.

Easily the best player last night.

Dansby is a great player, Washington is a great player and Foote's legacy will cite him as a great player... but the more I watch this defense of Bowles (and Williams and Campbell upfront), the more I see it makes ILBs look better than they might have been on another team :)

Foote set the tone for defense all night. When he ran into a pile to stop all the movement I knew we had a LB that came to play.

Minter was basically invisible and Foote was in on a lot of plays

Dline was playing hard and helping the LB play

Heard his name more than any other and he stayed amped up the whole game.
So happy to have him on this team.

Good thread. Credit where credit is due.

That last play was wild. Looked like he got a lot of hand on that pass, but the ball was still almost right on line to the receiver. Was that receiver the intended target? I couldn't tell.

Agreed! Larry Foote is the consummate veteran and just what the Cardinals needed to step in and fill the gap.

You're right. He isn't as big as Dansby or as athletic as Washington, but he tackles better than either. When he locks on to an offensive player, you have a high degree of confidence, he is going to get the guy on the ground.

Look, I'd love to have Karlos and Daryl at ILB, but Foote is a good stopgap.

Stepped up huge in that game! Hope we continue to get better on D and the offense will come. Ugly, but great game by the Birds!

Still love the play where he shot the gap on a rush and blew up the RB in the backfield. He knew what was coming on that one. He had to.

Beat me to it. I was just wondering how long it would be before Foote got hurt.

Remember the Cards didn't start really playing well Monday until the board turned negative. The real player of the game was NJ Cardfan.

Yes. The negativity led me to turn of the game and go to bed.

That play was all Abraham. He tossed his defender into the RB and then tossed him down to the ground. :)

Foote did well and the D line helped him make those plays, just like they did for Dwash and Dansby last year.

Is Foote on a one or two year contract? Because even though he's nearing the end of his career, he's playing well enough to be here next year. Does Carson play the same ILB position as Foote or Minter?
