Give Larry the same courtesy they gave Aenas Williams. Aeneas is still in good standing with ownership and is in the Ring of Honor.

Fitz will ride out this year no matter what the final results will be and then hang up the cleats and ride into the sunset. With the amount of money he has made on this organization he will never have to worried about finances and he will always have a supplemental income from endorsements. Who knows he may take a job as a analyst on one of the networks. Isn't his degree in communications?

I don’t... But it sure helps his lifestyle. And I dont think a few extra victories on sunday is the key either. I’m betting his family and his kids make him happier than his job. Silly to feel sorry for him.

Agree with you about family actually being way more important.

However, if some activity a person had invested their entire life in, which was a major part of their identity, and which they took pride in, ended more or less in complete failure, I think it would weigh on a person at least some.

You think his kids enjoy watching him get targeted twice in a game? You think that makes Larry a proud papa?

Again, everybody in his inner circle will get past this pretty quick. But still, for everything that he gave us, for all the effort, I think he deserves a little better. So that's what I regret about the situation Shane. Not going lose any sleep over it though, because, like you said, it's not that big of a deal. :)

no. But I also think when a man makes his bed he has to lie in it...and Larry took the money

He gave us the lead in the Superbowl, with 2 min to go. He did everything he could to deliver the big prize to us oaken.

It's not a big deal, I just wish things would end in a better way for him than they are (or will). That's it.

Man what a beaten down topic... Bottom line is this: Phoenix is nothing if not a city that is filled with a massive amount of people who moved here from other places. A TON of them come from the midwest... and a TON of them are therefore HUGE Chicago sports fans!
So, when our teams suck, it's no surprise that our stadiums are filled with Chicago fans. It has always been this way and it always will. Nobody should be surprised by this.
Conversely, as has been demonstrated when our teams are good, the "Arizona" fans show up. Go back and look at when the Dbacks were good. Or when the Cards were rolling with Warner and then again with Palmer. And the same for the Suns.

In this respect, Phoenix is not much different than many other cities in the sense that, when pro sports teams suck, attendance drops... In the case of Phoenix however, the situation is amplified by the fact that we have a ton of transplants who scoop up the tix not being used by Arizona fans. That is what sets Phoenix apart from just about every other sports town.

Bottom line - play better and you'll have the support...

The players job is to shut up opposing fans by winning the game.

But in our case this particular year...its the coach(s) job...or non-job I should say. Way to squander a 14 point lead and not build on it for 3 more quaters. McCoy!!!!!!

an OC who cant keep a job and Dairy Queen much less an NFL team

Hmmm, were do u work?

I’m damn sure I would be a wee bit more impressed with McCoy’s earnings than a full time Dairy Queen worker. I’m not a McCoy supporter but the soap box you spout from is a high one indeed.

Winning solves all problems. You dont like visiting teams fans taking over your stadium? Do something about it so the Cardinals fans who sold the tickets have a reason to want to attend.

I opted to stay in Mexico longer and miss the game. Is anyone really surprised people sold their tickets? I mean.. Really? This offense has been worse than the crap we had when Ray Horton was DC

Criticizing him for being loyal now? Hope he gets traded so he can play on a postseason team in what could be his last year.

Why would anybody feel sorry for Fitz in his $12 million salary? The highest paid total salary by far than anybody in franchise history and lives a life most of us could only dream about??

Yeah sure feel sorry for that guy LOL

I an assure everyone Fitz does not feel sorry for himself. He could have left easily if he wanted to leave.

Aeneas came close but he never won a super bowl.
Michael Floyd did though.
Life isn't fair I know buy Aeneas at least had a shot he wasn't going to get here.

Floyd probably has no shame and considers himself a SB champion even though he made no contribution to the team, he probably partied like he was the SB MVP.

I would suspect Larry stayed because he'd get more money and respect out of us than he would of gotten anywhere else because no other team is going to have the emotional attachment to him we have. That loyalty thing cuts both ways.

If he wanted traded I think they'd trade him but that's just my opinion.

If there is an upside to this for fans not living in Phoenix, it would have to be that the stadium is still sold out, so the game broadcasts are not blacked-out. I still hate seeing so many opposing fans. I recall the worst games for that were against Dallas or the Raiders.

NFL removed the black out rule a few years ago. Yes, McCain played a part in making it happen.
