Welcome back Skkorp. I've got to say....if you were able to survive staying in the hospital as long as you did, you must be able to survive about anything. If that didn't kill you , then nothing should.
To your health:cheers:

What?
Happy to hear you're doing better Jim. Keep it up and good luck.

I'm REALLY happy for Melanie. It is always much harder being the caregiver in any circumstance. She deserves a Quan jersey too.

Jim,

Glad you are back, you've been missed! Don't rush it!

I've seen it happen several times where someone makes their peace with God and then starts to get better. My Grandmother thought she was going to die about, oh, six-seven times and then she'd rally. The last couple of times it actually kind of pissed her off that she got better.

You have some unfinished business left to do... (You're not going anywhere!)

BTW, we Suns, DBacks, 'Yotes, Everything Else, and Politics and Religion fans appreciate what you've done too.

I can't believe it, but I NEED my daily fix of this site. I'm a junkie, and it's all your fault! :D

Skkorp, while I've never met you and rarely interacted with you on the board, I nonetheless feel you're my friend, as are most of the posters on ASFN.

My heart is lightened by this post--I'm very glad to hear you're pulling through. Keep fighting the good fight, friend.

Jim, never give up. This world needs people like you. Rest, get your strength back, and then, once again give us your words of wisdom.

We'll wait for you and keep the home fires burning.

Jim - your post made me cry. My wife wants to know why I have tears flowing down my cheek - it is mixed emotion.

1/2 of the tears are tears of joy that you're getting better & I guess 1/2 are for what might have been.

Hang in there big guy! Don't over do it!

Melanie - get some rest too! We don't want you worn out kiddo

Skkorp, I am so glad you're back. Sure, we miss you in a message-board capacity, but it's YOU that I'm really glad is all right. Damn concerns about the message board!

So, meet any cute nurses in there? Any of them give you a sponge bath? Lol

Welcome back Jim...I can't say it any better than 40 did...most of us would run through a wall for you!

Take care, and come back as soon as you can.
