ive never heard of gold canyon and ive lived in AZ almost 30 years..

That's because you're a confirmed west-sider. Gold Canyon is in Pinal County, about 10 miles beyond Apache Junction. Does 60 go that far? I think it's at the end of 60, right? It's a Hitler-Youth-planned ... er master-planned community. ;)

For the New Yorker, I'd suggest Nacho Mama's burritos on Broadway, but I heard it burned down. So ... Boar's Head still rocks my world when I'm there.

In Phoenix, there should never be any shame waiting in the car line for the 'Berto's drive-thru. I love the beef tacos, but my wife has got me into the taquito thing. Yummy. No guac, please. If I could get them to understand that, I'd be set. I've even tried "No guacamole, por favor." They don't listen.

Dollars to doughnuts its cause they mass produce a zillion taquitos in the morning before they open, and then just flash fry them to re heat them when you order. Hence, you caint have it yo way. Man I miss the 'Bertos chains...

Never heard of nacho mamas by the way...

Oh man I probably ended up at Nico's at 2am 100's of times in college.

After seeing a framed San Diego newspaper on the wall in Nico's that had them listed as one of the top fast food type burrito places in SD, me and a pal of mine spur of the drunken moment decided to go to San Diego on spring break for a tour of the burrito stands. So it ended up like 12 people or so went there over break and we ended up going to as many mexican restaurants as we could over the week.

Top pick - Surf Taco in Mission Beach area. I recommend the carne asada nachos.

Surf Taco is good but Roberto's right across from the roller coaster is the bomb diggity.

The Carne asada burrito there is god like.

What beaches did you go to while you were there? Please tell me you didn't only go to MB and PB.
