LaVar Ball’s first JBA season wrapped up with his sons’ Los Angeles Ballers team winning the title. While the future of the JBA is unclear at this point, LaVar was already prepared to put his league ahead of the NCAA. He used that reasoning to explain why LeBron James’ soon-to-be 14-year-old son, LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., would have to try out for the league if he wanted to join. LaVar wasn’t sure the teenager, who already has offers from Duke and Kentucky, was good enough for his JBA league. LaVar said: “He gotta try out and make sure he’s good enough. He’s not good enough.
