Here's Briggs in a nutshell:

Get's Franchised.
Vows to never play for the Bears again.
Signs franchise tender.
The next year, he signs a new 4-year contract (his current deal)
Now he wants a trade.

Urlacher needs to punch this fool in the face. Repeatedly.

Could he play OLB in a 3-4?

He did play in Tucson and is from California, maybe he'd be happier out west.

Cards despise diva's like Briggs. Even if we could get him for a 7th round pick, the cards still wouldn't do it.

Yet they signed Porter last year and traded for Hollywood Rhodes.

Cards have no problem with so called 'Divas" they just got to be the perceived right fit.

As for Briggs, he is not a 3-4 OLB, he would be a WILB, and that's where Washington is.

I don't ever remember Rhodes and Porter whining every year about wanting to be traded, or wanting a new contract, but then again, I didn't pay attention to those players too much before they were Cards.

Hypothetically, could move Washington to WOLB, and Briggs to WILB. Briggs is a tackling machine, and would certainly be an upgrade to our LB corp.

He's a tackling machine because the whole premise of Chicago "d" is to force plays to the left.

I dont think Washington could play on the outside in a 3-4 if his life depended on it lol. He'd be better off at safety (which should not be a possibility either).

Webster: NFL Diva - One who whines about various things such as, not getting the ball thrown to them enough, not getting a new contract every other year, not getting enough playing time.

Porter talks a lot, Rhodes may be Hollywood but he's the consumate pro, Ocho Cinco's they are not.
