Leaving for Iraq this week

As I mentioned a few months, I'm going to Iraq with the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division this week. Another year that I will miss most Cardinals games

4th Brigade is the last combat brigade going to Iraq, and even with the draw down, I'm a bit apprehensive on how this tour is going to go. The elections are upcoming, and with the pull out in full effect, there is a possibility for some pretty violent attacks. Now were not really allowed to do much anymore, we're mainly there to back up the government of Iraq, but that doesn't stop mortars and rockets from hitting our FOB.

So wish me luck, I'll be looking at this forum from over there. Hopefully the Cardinals will be a source of happiness for me every Monday and NOT a source of sadness/anger.
