LeBron and Carmelo dreaming

LeBron openly dreaming about one day teaming up with Melo, Wade, and Chris Paul on one team. Melo says he is all for it, but it has to be a warm weather city.

So, how soon could this take place? LeBron is a free agent this summer, so is Wade. Melo is signed for three more years. Chris Paul is signed for two more. Just know this. LeBron doesn't usually just talk about these things. He has clearly lost interest in Cleveland.

Could the Clips pull it off? Trade for Melo, then clear enough cap space to sign LeBron and DWade at a discount. I would think that would be doable. Trade DeAndre and a player for Melo in a sign and trade. NY might want some more incentive, maybe a pick or two. Sign and trade LeBron for Blake. Sign Wade for an exception. Done.

That team would be interesting. Curious to see how age would impact.

However. If the Suns end up somehow in the conversation as a destination (cant see how that could work anyway) I would want no part of it.

The league used to be team sentric. Now it's not just about star players getting the calls, they also fire coaches, resign players and put together teams. Dang millennials.

Call me crazy, but I don't think that team would be a title contender. There is only 1 ball and those are 4 guys who need the ball to be effective, a couple of whom don't really play defense anymore, with Paul being the only one who is a decent three point shooter.

That team looks like bad defense, terrible spacing and what I suspect would be 4 guys who couldn't stand each other by the all-star break of their first year.
