well, look at the bright side
for each of the next 4 years either the Warriors or Lakers will NOT make it to the Finals
and if Houston can up its game neither might

They will be a playoff team but I don't see them beating the Warriors or Rockets unless they pull off some big trades.

I think they end up with Cousins too and then trade Ball to move Deng's contract.

And right on que Lonzo starts flapping his gums on Twitter.

I really hope he gets traded to the Washington Generals or the Charlotte Bobcats.

May not be that far off. The Pelicans need a PG to keep Davis happy. That could be a good fit. Maybe some sort of sign and trade blockbuster involving Cousins so Cousins can get more money.

The Cavs will now be epically bad. Poor Kevin love. Isn’t his team worse now than it was with Minnesota?

Gonna be interesting to see where everything falls now.

So what's LA think of Lebron if he doesn't win a ring? LA isn't Cleveland getting the finals and losing isn't enough there.

So now it's all on what the Spurs do

LA dumped D’Angelo Russell to get rid of Mosgov’s contract and Nance to get rid of Clarkson. Magic knows what he is doing.

Honestly, I don't think he went their to win a ring. If he wanted a ring, I think he goes to Philly. This is about post basketball LeBron, which is why it is a 4 year deal. When they deal is up, he retires and focuses on Hollywood LeBron.

Don't get me wrong, I think he'll try to win one. I just don't think that winning one was the main reason for choosing L.A. At this point, getting out of the 2nd round is the West isn't a given.

Dead to me. F**k him. Even if he wins 4 rings, he’s tarnished his legacy.

Why?

He went to a lesser team. Tarnishing his legacy would have been teaming up with the Warriors or Rockets.

I think it's a dumb move basketball wise unless he already knows who else will be joining him, which he might. But this doesn't seems as much of a basketball move as it is a "post career" move. Unless that's what you mean by tarnishing his legacy. In that case, I agree.

I don't even know if he'll make it out the first round. I don't see how Lakers are higher then a 4th seed, and maybe as low as 7th.

This could really blow up in the face of LeBron and the Lakers.

Vegas just gave lakers 2nd best odds (tied with Celtics) to win championship.

I actually like the Lakers better with Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, Hart, and Randle as a supporting cast over Leonard and Ball.

If they can retain Randle, they already have a better roster than Cleveland. They probably already renounced Lopez or will have to, but he would be a solid 5 on a one year contract if they can retain him.

Ball
Ingram
LeBron
Randle
Lopez

With Kuzma, KCP, Stephenson, and Hart off the bench.

People are way too quick to think the Lakers will have any business making it to the finals next year that's that's not gonna happen . They may be the fourth best team in the west with these moves. Let's see where they are in year two.

Don't get me wrong I love Lance but he's a nut.

JaVale brought a lot to the Warriors and was very productive in his role. They were a better team when he was in the lineup. It's a shame he has severe asthma. He can do some goofy stuff, but he was a good teammate.

Flapping his gums? he said did people really think Lebron would pass up the greatest city (LA), the King is here, and he did an OK hand sign emoji. That's the only 2 posts on Twitter I see today.

Surely you don't think a kid who grew up idolizing LeBron and told us repeatedly last year his dream was to play with LeBron, wasn't going to say SOMETHING about it when the Lakers actually got LeBron?
