I would like to have him come in and compete for the slot. Inever seen him as a #1 or a complete #2.... but He has great value in the slot if he would accept competing with Roberts and Doucett.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran wide receiver Lee Evans on Sunday and signed sixth-year receiver Demetrius Williams

The dude should be collecting social security.

And he was released by a terrible team in need of receivers.

Unless he can throw passes I don't see the need.

need

Floyd was not a need.
When you draft or get free agents out of need, you end up with QB's like we got. I respect your opinion but think Lee might bring something special to the bottom half of our roster.

I think playing with whoever in Buffalo NY and then the Ravens, might have left something yearning in his 31 year old bones,

We haven't got much development from the bottom of our roster - both William's have been here awhile- We have tried to develop Wr's but if we release any of them- they aint gonna draw much interest?

I mean if your going to keep kissing frogs and never find a prince- Your just sort of a frog kisser! Right
Bryant Johnson has lower career numbers as a #3

I'm yearning for something that will make a difference on our team dude. We have QB and offensive line issues more than anything. Those are priority. If we can't fix or even bandaid either of those issues, then another guy at WR isn't going to enhance our team at all.

fantasy

I trust fantasy projections more than talking heads on TV. At this point 1 has Kolb in the top 32 QB's, 2 have Skelton in the top 32.

Beanie is between 20-30th RB

Fitz is 2nd or third with Floyd and Roberts in the 60's and 70's out of top 80.

Housler is barely in the top 32 TE's. with Rwill 32-40

Defense around 20th.

I'll keep tracking- but so far preseason has lowered all fantasy expectations for Cardinal Players. I'll keep my eye on anyone that might move the Cardinals up each list.

I can see him going to Miami. I think Roberts and Doucet have already locked up the slot position though. Would he make our WR corps better, yea. Would I sign him to a vet minimum contract, yea.

As usual, your thread is senseless. This isn't the Lee Evans from '08. He sucks these days. Can't run, can't stay healthy, can't catch and doesn't play special teams. He would not even make the team.

Lee evans is garbage, would not be an upgrade over Andre Roberts in the slot, and is not a boundry WR. Our receiving corp will be fine when Floyd earns the 2nd boundry WR spot which moves Roberts into the slot and Doucet to the 4th WR role. The problem is our QBs and then our offensive line, not our skill positions.

SMEL.... Would you buy tons of ammo because it was on sale, even if you didn't own a gun?
