Knowing that this year's lineup was heavy with left-handed batters, I took a look at how next season's probable starting lineup would look.

C........Montero (L) . . . .Snyder (R) probable platoon vs. lefty starters
1B......Jackson (R)
2B......Hudson (S)
SS......Drew (L)
3B......Tracy (L)
LF.......Byrnes (R)
CF.......Young (R)
RF.......Quentin (R)

Pretty balanced.

What if we could get A-Rod to bat cleanup? Who would we get rid of? If it's Tracy, we'd have 5 righties, 2 lefties and a switch-hitter. Might be OK.

If Tracy moved to 1B, and Jackson goes, it would be back to 4 righties, 3 lefties and a switch-hitter.

Something to think about.

There is no way Josh Byrnes spends the money for A-rod. I just don't seem them selling off a bunch of young guys for A-rod and I don't see the Yankees making the deal. The Yanks would have to include way to much cash to make it happen. I could be wrong but I would rather not see A-rod in a Dbacks uniform making 20+ million a year.

But we desperately need a legitimate cleanup hitter.

Any other possibilities out there?

So... who says A-Fraud is a legit cleanup hitter? He was batting in the 8 spot today for their final embarrassment (sorry I mean game). IMO, if the Yankees are going to try to dump him, they are going to have to give him away.
