I'm a big fan of the kid because what he did at USC was not done with smoke and mirrors regardless of the talent around him and his first year with the Cards showed a glimpse of what he could. I'm not crowning him a pro-bowl QB just yet but I certainly can see him as our QB of the future.

please do something with that avatar.

Brother if we win you will be thanking me up and down. And then cursing me all the next week as you have to continue to look at that revolting face.

I am the definition of the reverse Cardinals jinx - I even refuse to wear garb any more while watching because when I do - we screw up - I have been wearing a Dolphins shirt for the past three games we won (not including the first home game i ever attended -9ers - where of course i wore my hat and jersey - D'oh) and its been working beautifully.

You can keep Marissa Miller - I am a Rosie guy if it means my team wins:)

Critics at Large

I am not going to, nor care to comment on the "bashers" of Matt. But those of you who do do...take a good hard look at some of the young turks this year (including Young) and tell me how great a year(s) they are having please...you can go back to a few others who have been around say third year guys as well and share your critique with those of us who are not as informed as you might be.

I like Matt. I think its crazy to snipe at the guy or give up on him. To me, the only reason to do so at this point is out of boredom and the desire to be contrarian or inject a bunch of drama into the discussion of our future prospects.

That said, I refuse to give him any credit for essentially doing his job at this point. For the love of Pete, the guy is essentially on what I'd call light duty, around my work. Its a pretty good gig, you still get paid the same, for doing a whole lot less. But I'm not going to commend the guy for just showing up at the office and paying attention. He'd better be doing that. Its like all the PTSD from seeing Wendall Bryant sitting in the stands in shorts and flip flops grinning from ear to ear before getting a DUI and finally cut, that kind of work ethic, has us in shock when a guy actually comes in and does his job.

Sadly, this is what pro sports has come to... Hey, show and don't cause any trouble - stay out of jail and you'll be memorialized... Sad really...

As for me - I have my doubts about Matt. I don't think he's shown enough to warrant any more than mild interest and a great deal of "hope for the best"...
As a Cards fan, I sincerely hope that he only halfway fullfills the immense expectations that have been lumped on his shouders... We'll be a pretty damm good team should that happen... But as I've said, I have my doubts...

Exactly. It makes embarrassed sometimes to throw so much time and money at this sport. Not that I could ever give up on this addiction. But you've got think, not a single job in the NFL is as important as any school bus driver's.

He's gotta stay upright before he can do anything. Let's put a solid OL in front of him and see what he can do before you sell him down the river eh?

I am glad to hear that Matt is doing this - I was worried that he would sulk but t seems the opposite is true - that is really good to hear. It can only help him and help the Cards

Hey, just curious and I have no idea about this, but do you have your doubts about Matt, 82?
