Matt,Your article for 'The Magazine' was hilarious. Jeff Fisher seems like a good guy. Good luck to you in Arizona this year!

MATT LEINART
Thank you. I had a great time doing it. I had a chance to go to the owners meeting. I had a chance to have some fun with. The whole piece was why teams passed up on me at the draft. I had a great time. I got a lot of positive feedback. I look forward to doing something like that in the future.

Bill (Chicago)
Matt, you're an LA guy. You watch Bob Barker's last PIR today? You ever hang with the legend?

MATT LEINART
That's a funny question, because I was just listening to that on the radio. I've never had a chance to meet him or go to the show. I used to watch the show quite a bit growing up. He is a legend out here. It's amazing how a game show and host can never change one time over 30 years. I was not lucky enough to meet him, but I was a fan.

Scott (MI)
How much fun did you have in your senior year at USC? I comend you for staying in school and having fun with your college career....

MATT LEINART
First of all, I had a great time overall in college. There's something special in your senior year in college. It's the last time with your friends. It was a big deal. It was probably the best and smartest decision I've ever made. I came out a more experienced player, more experienced person.

Brick City Treangen (Vancouver)
Did you and your USC teammates play a lot of the NCAA football games in college? Who was the best? I'm guessing Reggie.

MATT LEINART
Yeah, we played a ton of football. I lived on that game in my first three or four years in college. That was the intense game that everyone played. We played it a lot in training camp.

egami (iowa)
Matt, what are you favorite, and least favorite, aspects of dealing with media as an NFL player?

MATT LEINART
My favorite part is doing stuff like the ESPN reporting stuff. That was fun, being able to broaden yourself. The least favorite part is the false accusations. The people where they just want to criticize you. But that's just part of the game. We're all big boys, we understand it.

Brian (Lake Worth, FL)
As a Steelers fan, I was disappointed that Whisenhunt was not hired...but Pittsburgh's loss is your gain...what do you think of Whisenhunt so far?

MATT LEINART
I think he's great. I think he's really adapted to the situation and the team really well. He's brought in a new attitude. That Pittsburgh mentality that we expect to win every Sunday. And he's not walking into a situation where it's the typical 5-11 team. We have some talent and we're capable of winning some games.

joe (philadelphia)
Matt, since NCAA is your favorite video game. Do you always bring the trojans to the table and who is your toughest opponent on the cardinals?

MATT LEINART
I would be the Trojans at first, but now I use other teams. Believe it or not, I've used Texas quite a bit. I've used Virginia Tech. It's fun. Now, Edge is a good player. I haven't played the guys too much yet this year.

Tim (Boston)
Any predictions for the national championship this year? By the way your TD against Notre Dame was one of the greatest plays ever! Good luck this season.

MATT LEINART
They've got to! Last year they fell a little bit short. This year they probably have a better team. The defense might be the best Pete Carroll's ever had. But I'm biased.

Steven (Dayton)
Who's your favorite NFL player that you didn't know before you came in to it?

MATT LEINART
Obviously, I knew about pretty much everybody. But to watch, I love watching LT play. Everyone does. It's pretty cool being on the field and watching him play. There are a lot of guys that you don't think about, but then you see them on the field and they're everywhere.

Zach (Montezuma,IA)
Do you think John David Booty can win a national championship and the Heisman this year?

MATT LEINART
Yeah, I think JD is obviously a great player and he's come a long way. We were very very close in college. He did a great job last year. Just like me, I came in filling Carson Palmer's shoes. It's a lot. Now I accomplished a lot and he comes in. He's done a great job. I think this year he has a great chance to lead that team to a national title. As for the Heisman, he's the favorite.

Jason (Cleveland, OH)
Were you feeling Brady Quinn's pain on draft day. At one point projected to go #1 and then falling down to #10 in Quinn's case top #22. What is going through your mind as each team says someone else's name.

MATT LEINART
Yeah, I was definitely feeling for him. I kinda went through the same thing. You think you're going to go high and you expect to go high. But the way I look at it, is everything happens for a reason. And he went to the team that he wanted to go to in the first place.

Patrick ( Chicago, IL)
How are things different for you now as to compared to the same time last year?

MATT LEINART
Well, my life is completely different. As far as football and all the stuff that comes along with it. There is a lot more stuff that I'm doing. On the field, my confidence is higher. I'm more understanding of the team, my teammates. There are a lot of positives.

MATT LEINART
Thanks for supporting me throughout the years. Thanks for supporting the Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully we'll make a playoff run for the first time in a long time.

They didn't ask my question.

Probably becuase it's old hat--I asked how he felt about a run-first offense when we have all the weapons geared towards a dominant passing game.

Maybe they also didn't ask it because it would get him in trouble with Whiz. :D

Didn't ask mine either, asking about the new strength and conditioning program and how it would impact the team. Instead, they let through a bunch of questions about video games. What an immense waste of time.

Probably got paid by EA sports to use it as a promotional tool
