That was my point, it wasn't a workout it was a PR shoot.

Pariah I teach that stuff and have done so for a very long time
That's not my point.

I appreciate that you teach it, but you tend to pull the "trust me, I know more about [insert subject here] than you" a lot. The video may be PR (trust me, I know more about PR than you), but the workout is a singal of his commitment to his commitment to becoming a better athlete (mentally, if not physically) in the offseason.

If Leinart was working out with the Colorado Mammoth in the offseason (an indoor lacrosse team--I play lacrosse and have for more than 20 years, so trust me, I know more about lacrosse than you) you wouldn't catch me sitting back saying "pfft. Just because he's strapped on the pads doesn't make him a lax player." I'd salute his commitment to keeping his head where it belongs--in training.

JMHO (which carries just as much weight as your jack-of-all-trades opinion).

That's the thing, though. The Leinart news has been continual and gradually escalating. I was impressed with the reports that Leinart was biding his time and happy for the team during the playoff run but now, looking back, it's like who cares what he thinks? No one cares what Byron Leftwich or Jim Sorgi or Billy Volek, etc. thought during their team's playoff runs.

Then we get this year's "who's Leinart working out with?" story. This year it was Tom Brady. Anyone know who Jon Kitna was working out with this offseason? Last year, Leinart was hob-******** with Joe Montana in the offseason but at least he was still technically the starter at that point.

Now, we get the Jay Glazer MMA training program to being a more mentally tough QB. I mean, are we talking about Matt Leinart, an NFL QB who may be the face of the Cardinals franchise or Jose Canseco? That's what Leinart is starting to look like to me. A guy that will do anything and everything to keep his name in the news and that is a stark contrast to my hope that he was off in the corner, focusing on being a QB and not letting his third chance, when it comes, get away.

Rabbit slapping some padded foam doesn't inspire my confidence in him being a better QB. MMA may be a great path to physical fitness but I honestly didn't have any concerns about Leinart's endurance or cariovascular levels. I'd be willing to bet that none of this stuff will make his footwork better or make him throw the ball more accurately. And those are the things I care about from him.

Whaaaaatever.. Ya Warner lover..
