I know some people hate "Twitter news", but I thought this was pretty cool...

Someone asked Fitz if Matt Leinart was the right QB for the Cardinals. Fitz responded by saying that Leinart will be ready and is even working out with Larry in MN this offseason. Smart move by Matt.

That'll blow away all the "he doesn't work hard enough" crap. Fitz dedicates a lot of time training with other WRs, Leinart will have plenty of chances to work out his arm there as there will be plenty of passes to go around.

This is the best news I've read about him this offseason.

Matts future is now. He will be ready come Training Camp and we will see if whom ever we sign can displace him. I do not think he will be a backup on the Cards ever again. He may be traded or cut but he will be the starter. It is his job to lose. We ride with him. Great to hear he is working with Fitz. We need these guys on the same page and with the change in the Offense without Warner there will be less balls in the air unless we are losing big so they need to make them count. I think we have a really great young offense with what Beanie and TH bring to the running game and what Matt, Fitz, Ducett and Breaston bring to the passing game. We can still use a downfield burner but if the safties have to come up to support in the box to stop the run our passing game will be that much more effective. We could draft D. Alexander in the 3rd or 4th and have a huge guy opposite Fitz and let Breaston be the deep guy. Lots of things still to happen. Lets see if Matt can put it together. That is how we ride this year. The defense needs to be fixed but if we run the ball and dominate time of possession we should be ok.

When I read Fitz's tweet about Leinart I gave it a whoop-dee-doo. I think it says a lot about Matt willing to put in the effort it will take to become something great. More important I'm really hoping Matt and Fitz will jell the way Kurt and Fitz did. This will really help with that.

This team is going to look so different from last year's team. Obviously. But I want to see Fitz continue his leadership role. (Shown last year by his taking Wells in under his wing and under his roof.) Now I'm hoping that Matt will assume the same role. He needs to have the confidence and knowledge that he can lead this team. Spending some time at Fitz's camp, where if things flow as they did last year, he will be exposed to and getting top-notch tutoring from some of the best players the NFL has to offer past and present is a huge step.

Very good news.
