With the game on the line, White was stopped dead on a 4th and slightly more than one.

If the O-line doesn't do the job, it doesn't really matter how good you are.

No RB is stronger than D-lineman.

P.S. I did like that guard #71 on the USC line...

The best RB's ever to play get stopped on many occasion. One play is meaningless. What about the 100 yards he gained running through the Texas line and the 20+ TD's he scored this year. The guy is a 225 lb horse much like Carnell Williams.

We took the #1 tyardage runner in college last year. He has no oline and your answer to solving our running game is another RB?

I dont get how we need to replace Shipp to win. Or why we even need 2 rb's at that.

Lets get olineman and a NT

The #1 yardage gainer we took went in the 2nd round. That was for a reason.

There has been a lot of post speculating on Leinharts health. Does anyone have any factual information to support this? I have never read any such thing but then I do not read everything. I would think it would be major news if he had a medical problem.

1) Leinart wears a huge brace on one knee

2) Leinart had shoulder surgery in 8th grade and gave up a promising baseball career as a pitcher because his surgeon advised him to(throwing a baseball is different than throwing a football)

3) Leinart had elbow surgery this offseason which is the main reason he stayed at USC.

4) Leinart had a concussion in the ASU game and showed effects of it a couple of weeks later. An ESPN reporter said he saw Leinart "glassy eyed" several hours after the game last night when he came out of the locker room. UNless they were drinking in the locker room, he was still dazed from the game.

My point is that if you don't fix our O-line, the RB is rather meaningless. That done, I have no problem with adding a quality back at no. 10... if and only if, he's clearly the BPA.

And, Cadillac's running style, by the way, is quite different from White's.

White is 235 and Cadillac is 217(same weight as Arrington) but it's not about weight it's about how hard they run and clearly both guys run a LOT harder than JJ.

Sounds just like Joe Namath to me. Give him a big fur coat and call him Broadway Matt.

He looks bigger than 225. He would be perfect for Green Bay.

Green Bay has a big back in Gado. They need a speedster to compliment him like DeAngelo Williams.

Just saw Kipper and some other guys on ESPN. They think Young moved up for 9 or 10 into the top three. Kipper says he should come out. He also said White to go in middle of 1st round. One analyst said Young will have to work out the side arm throw in the NFL and he will have to learn to react to the much faster rush in the NFL. Another guy says all the people in Houston are yelling to draft Young but they may be better to keep Carr and draft Bush. Another guy says trade Carr for a number one and draft Young. All agree the Coaches call to go for it on 4th and 2 near the end was the right call. They just did no execute and that Young would likely score anyway. Bad decision was to take their last timeout late in the game. Leinhart will be a very good pro as he is the prototype NFL passer and is very accurate, good decision maker, smart, and a leader. Bush, Leinhart and Young to be the top three picks and the order depends on Houston. N.O. and Tennessee both would take a QB. Kipper predicted last week Texas would win by 3 (38-35). Pretty good prediction. He was very high on Young and that he can be what many though Vick would become. Sounds like White will be there if we want him. Kipper also said do not expect to see Young participate in much of anything such as bowls, NFL workouts, etc as he has nothing more to improve his position. Lots of things to muddle over here before the draft. We can be rather sure that Young,Leinhart and Bush are the first three off the board and plan from there. Nothing said about Leinharts health.

Kiper picked USC in a chat last week on ESPN, hard to be wrong when you pick both teams.:D
