I watched the guy doing wind sprints with the rest of the team in the thin flagstaff air last year and he was beating some players you wouldnt expect him to beat. He looked to be in good shape and not to winded even lugging the huge cast around. I even made note of that in my camp report.

Here's an interesting read http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/m1208/12_225/72434863/p8/article.jhtml?term=

In it they quote a Raven scout as comparing him to Stockar McDougle, say he's not mean enough, and mention a lingering high ankle sprain problem he had at Texas. The feeling is he's simply too big and his ankles won't hold up.

They say he's 19% body fat by the way, I guess my thing is I've just always felt that his size was going to be as much a hinderance as a help if he's 370, you just can't carry that much weight around without it taking it's toll. He's not fat but I don't buy the chiseled stuff, it's not all muscle.

Russ where did you read that the guy always had weight problems?

Granted the guy has always been big as a house but unless Im mistaken one of the raves about him coming out of college was how physically strong he was and the fact that even being so big he only had something like 20% or less body fat. But to be that big and only have that percentage of fat is incredible. Not very indicative of a history of weigth problems?

I read some where that Davis had something like the lowest % of body fat on the Longhorns, So I agree I don't think he has any weight problems

And how else will he keep up his weight up? If he loses weight , he might have to move to LT and actually be accountable

Leonard usually works out with his own guy. Last year was the only year he came in "soft"and he had off season ankle surgery did not allow him to run until shortly before camp. Don't worry about Leonard he will be fit and ready to go.

I hope you are right, 24-7.

Coach Green is in charge!!

I believe that. ...And if a player isn't willing to do what's being asked of him?? He'll be gone. Plain & simple. Traded if he has value and cut if he's not going to help the team. Is this un-resonable on the coach Green's part?? Not at all. Any boss I've ever had went over his/her expectations of me. If I did my part everything was fine. If not, I was gone. Plain & simple. So, the way I see it, it's up to L. Davis, and ALL the players, to "prove" to the Cardinal staff that they REALLY want to be here. My Dad told me a great story about Vince Lombardi years ago. A Packer player walked in to talk to Coach Lombardi about a new contract, more $$ etc. He was told to leave and come back in a few minutes. When he did, he was told he'd been TRADED to the Eagles!! WHAM!! I think Coach Green is going to build a special team w/some of what he already has to work w/ and w/some that he will acquire w/GM Graves. GO CARDS!!

350 lbs x .20 = 70 lbs of pure drag as$$. Thats one fifth of his body weight that is being lugged around. Homeboy needs a treadmill, and cut that % down to the low teens.

Lowest on the OL, not the team, he was 19% as a senior at Texas, on an OL that featured 3 guys 350+ including Mike Williams.
