According to Rams general manager Les Snead, Davante Adams is the exact talent Los Angeles needed. Adams, 32, is coming off yet another 1,000-yard season and will bolster the receiver room even more alongside Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell. The veteran is going into his 12th NFL season and brings a new, exciting look to the offense while providing Matthew Stafford with another weapon to attack. It seems as if the Rams are going all in.
Snead was recently on the Pat McAfee Show describing Adams as "the new iteration" of what the Rams want to do and become. It sounds like he will make an immediate impact in his fresh start for the Rams as everyone involved in the organization is curious to see what a receiver of his stature can bring to the table. Nobody is more ready than Sean Mcvay, who was the lead recruiter in getting the deal done.
"Davante just brings a skill set to our table. It's the next iteration of what we want to do as Sean and his staff have worked through where we've been, where we're trying to go, what we're trying to accomplish, how you're adjusting to the league, and how the league's adjusting to defending you," Snead said. "The enemy has a say sometimes, and Sean and his staff are always trying to stay ahead of that."
It seems as if Sean McVay and Co. are looking to add a new dynamic to this offense that has been yet to be seen in his time with the Rams. The most recent big-name receiver that the Rams added was Odell Beckham Jr., who made big contributions in his short time with the team and was an impact player in their Super Bowl run just a few short years ago.
McVay and his staff are always relentlessly looking for ways to stay ahead of the curve, so all signs point to the fact that they got their guy and are excited about what he adds to this playbook. It will, without a doubt, be a fun upcoming season as the Rams try to achieve greatness yet again.
