Something can definitely be done. Three of the four kids now have pretty good jobs that they have held from 6 months to just over a year. The other one still cycles through jobs like underwear. She had 14 jobs last year.
Wow! I can't imagine the uncertainty and lack of security. Then again, generational differences.

1. The locker room issues with Kyler have been there since day 1. He's an introvert and has a tendency for bad body language when things are going south. Fitz hates/hated him. DHop isn't a huge fan of his personality either. It's an issue that needs to be worked on which goes into #2...

2. Kyler listens to his Dad on all things quarterback and has since HS with the exception of when he played for Riley. Murray's team quickly realized Sumlin was a joke and think the same about Kliff and Keim and for good reason. Lincoln had the track record and OU has the infrastructure and foundation to keep guys focused and team-first.

3. Kyler's issues are solely between the ears and he needs strong leadership above him in order to buy in like he got at OU. If he doesn't have that strong and respected voice then he goes back to what got him to where he is which is his physical talent and his dad's coaching/advice. Nobody is ready Day 1 to lead an NFL franchise physically and mentally especially a historical inept one like the Cardinals to the promised land. It's a process of culture-building that needs to be developed by those above the players and from the players themselves. It's moronic for a front office chock full of unprofessional boneheads to expect the player(s) to solely be the guys setting culture.

The fact that people are willing to happily throw this kid under the bus in favor of Keim and Kliff is the epitome of stupidity. Keim and Kliff are widely laughed at in NFL circles and if fired would never sniff another NFL job. Half the league would trade for Kyler in a heartbeat.
So he needs perfect circumstances to excel, which tells me he won't. Keim and Kliff may very well suck, but that doesn't at all give KM a pass.

Next season, Murray’s base salary will be $965,000, then the team has a choice of picking up his option for 2023 and letting him play it out before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the 2023 campaign.
Lmao why do you keep going full hyperbolic mode about needing everything around him to be perfect to succeed?
You having to say that for people is proof Keim won.

I think 95% of us are in the camp of taking Kyler over anyone in the FO or coaching staff. I also think, especially based on the above, that Kyler himself has a long way to go. Of course, it would help if he had a coach who could tell the difference between a football and a hockey puck.

If I were in charge and able to make the decisions regarding GM, Head Coach and QB, my chopping-block priority list would be:

1.) Kliffy
2.) Kyler
3.) Keim

No way. Always take the QB over everyone else, especially with Keim’s reputation of botching drafts. It’d take Keim three Josh Rosens to get to another Kyler

Yowza. What have you seen from Steve Keim that makes you think he's more valuable than a potential franchise QB?

I was thinking this morning about what was Keim's most obviously terrible decision, and it has to be giving Sam Bradford a 2-year, $40 million contract with $15 million in guarantees. He was so washed when it happened.

i tend to agree -- in that he never mentions the organization

a more politically correct version would have
Yep. I wonder if this puts real pressure on MB to move on potentially from Keim, if say, Kyler and his team(dad) has issue with Keim and co and the direction of the team... Food for thought.

Or Kyler is getting flack purely from MB and will make room for more frustrations from an overreaching owner.

What pressure? If Keim was gonna be fired it would have already happened imo.

If the Cardinals are going to make changes I think it should be in the order of:

1. GM
2. Coach
3. QB

However, reality tells me replacing the head coach might be the minimum type move.

----------------------------------------------

Edit:

Let me take a step back.

Hire a good GM and let him make the decisions going forward.

I dont think asking for a stronger HC and better GM is asking for perfect circumstances. Many people here have said the exact same things. He's gotta get better, but so does everyone else at their job.

I'd like to add a bit to the 2nd part. Being unbiased here. It wasnt just that Sumlin was a joke. It was that Sumlin had no strong structure and made false promises. I know someone who is close to the OU program. Much closer during the Stoops years. There was a lack of detail in how Sumlin handled practices compared to OU compared to Kyler. Also Kyler wasnt the #1 option for OU. Seemed like some favored the other Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen (you know its bad when both QBs transfer), but Lincoln favored Kyler. Kyler had just been turned down by Texas so it was like he got pushed out of his own state. Stoops had the foundational pedigree where Kyler ego was kept in check. This was big time football and what he had accomplished before meant nothing. Then once Baker returned and Lincoln was promoted to HC it still forced Kyler to scrap for everything. Lincoln waited till the VERY END to name him the starter. He stayed on Kyler's case because he wanted Baker level of command of the offense. Now granted Baker was a 3 year starter. However, thats the standard he held him too.

I think Kliff being so "wow Bro" over the years to Kyler made Kyler like him, but never deeply respect him. Stoops and Riley had the level of credibility for him to buy into what they were selling. There's a reason Kyler raves about Colt McCoy. He's actually a guy Kyler looked up to and respects. Imo Kyler seeing Keim's draft is the cause of the drama. He's one of the picks that worked so he's deflecting blame. He likes Kliff, but Im not sure thats a good thing. He needs have a sense of fear and a real sense of respect for him as well.

Keim won. Kyler unintentionally (intentionally) made himself the bad guy in all of this. It seemed like they were trying to quietly get through the offseason without acknowledging the disaster. No real changes, no real talk of how to progress, etc. etc. If this entire thing doesnt blow up its good that Kyler feels the pressure of being a better leader. I guess its good that Kliff will self scout because of it, but I'd like to see him unafraid of hiring his potential replacement and go get another "voice" on offense.

I'm pretty sure Kingsbury knows the difference between a football and a hockey puck. Do you really think statements like that accomplish anything? Really? Have you ever spoken to the man? No you haven't and neither has anyone on this board and yet everybody wants to hurl idiotic insults at whoever is the flavor of the day. I'm disappointed on the season like everybody. This last week people's viatribe has been ridiculous. Rumors, BS, and some just outright lies. Some of it may be true but the majority of it probably isn't. It's pitiful
