Actually IMO it is a smart move by the agent as Bidwill came out on Friday saying how much he loved Kyler and that he is the qb for the future. Bidwill also said that the priority now is to resign some of their players that will hit free agency shortly. Kyler's agent said he will work his new contract to move salary out so they can sign some of these players. However, the Cards have not committed financially to Kyler. Yeah, it's show me the money for sure.Going public puts the burden on the Cards. No doubt Kyler will sit out until he is paid.

Draft a QB or trade for a vet QB. Is he prepared to sit out the next season? No obligation to raise his pay while he is still under contract, right?

What a load of BS.

This issue was just calming down and Kyler and his agent decided to stoke it all up again with this garbage. So from this we can conclude.

1. As soon as the season was over Burkhardt was pushing for a new deal.
2. The Cards said "Whoa there. The season just finished. We still have you for 2 years. And we have other stuff to sort out (also you just sucked in the playoffs, read the room)"
3. Kyler's response to this was to scrub his IG.
4. The new statement shows this crap is all intentional.

Mike Rob summed up my feelings on GMFB,

"He's giving the team an ultimatum?... He starts the season well every year then he gets figured out. A franchise QB needs to make guys better. He needs to be the catalyst. I'm not sure Kyler Murray is that. I don't like his body language, when Hopkins was out Murray didn't know where to go with the ball. Every time there's a bad play it's the other players fault. And now he's trying to defend who he is as a player. That's red flags for me. Seems to me even Kyler doesn't think he's the guy and he's trying to get paid right now before there's more evidence he isn't the guy. If I'm the Cardinals I don't pay him. I call his bluff and make him earn it.

Palmer follows "Is this necessary? I don't know what the point of this is. Why is he doing this publicly? What does this say to the other 52 guys from the guy that's supposed to lead the team?"

All 4 on GMFB think this is weak and Kyler hasn't earned it.

Pure garbage from Kyler.

That statement by the agent was beyond dumb.

Kyler proving his immaturity for the football world to see and Burkhardt proving how desperate he is to get paid from a deal for his #1 client.

This is the digital equivalent of hanging around Steve Keim's car waiting for him to leave work and begging for cash.

Just to put how desperate this is into perspective

Josh Allen signed his 3rd year extension in August. Allens comments on that deal in camp,

"If it does, great. If it doesn't, great. I'm trying to be the best that I can be for this team this year. We've got a goal set. Like I said, it'll work itself out. ... When it happens, it happens. I'm at peace with it."

Mahomes signed his 3rd year extension in July, coming off a super bowl win. Here's what Mahomes agent had to say about contract talks,

Mahomes never made a single public comment I can find about contract negotiations.

Deshaun Watson's contract was done in September before year 4. His comments on the extension...

""Football is the main focus," Watson said. "My agent is taking care of that. My main focus is being the quarterback and being the leader of this team. My main focus is staying healthy and making sure my team is ready to play."

All those guys have done more than Kyler. Why in February is he trying to force a new deal and causing all this BS?
