Scrubs his Instagram then says nothing about it for days then releases a statement saying "I'm not about all of this nonsense." Uh, you started all of this nonsense.

Grown men in the media and on the internet gossiping like little girls over what a QB did on his Instagram page is what started the nonsense. Who GAF if Kyler only wants 2 pics on there?

100% this. It cannot be stated loud enough, that this current generation does not care at all about Instagram anymore. They are over it. They are on to newer platforms like TikTok, twitch, ECT. And within the next two to three years they will move on from those platforms to something else new, because all of us old farts keep moving in on their territory with social media.

You keep forgetting to mention that he left everything in his Instagram stories, he only scrubbed his posts, which is what a lot of the younger kids are doing.

This is where the result is changing your perspective. He did say that

Obviously, that’s a big hit,” Murray said, via Kevin Parrish Jr. of the team’s website. “That’s a guy we all know and trust out there on the field. But it’s a long season and not all the time are you going to make it to the end with your full army.

“We just have to have guys behind him step up and I’m confident in every single one of those guys. We have a deep receiving room, we have a deep running back room, we got a ton of skill.”

I think the reality is Hopkins was as major of a cog to our offense as Watt was to our defense. In his current development he wasnt good enough to overcome it, Keim's depth at WR kind of got exposed without Hopkins. Rondale Moore predictably got injured as well, AJ Green showed real signs of age and there was far more attention on Kirk. Doesnt help the RB room had its issues as well

As Dvontel said. Its not a lot asking for a guy to have his top target. And we should be able to agree that he fell off, but have context about what happened as well. Especially how schematically things changed against us. He's gotta get better, but we should be over depending on Wrs in their mid 30s basically.

I do agree this adversity will be good for him.
Football is all about the trenches, and we fell woefully short once injuries took their toll. We brought in an all pro C who had a long history of staying healthy. Unfortunately, he missed 4-5 games, and we LOST every game he missed. His absence just exposed the overall weakness of the interior depth of the OL. After the 4th game, when we beat the Rams in LA, we never saw both of our RB’s on the field together and healthy again. Once we lost Hop, the rest of the WR group was exposed and entered into the witness protection plan. Add the secondary issues & our D’s complete inability to stop the run after Watt when out & it’s no surprise to me how it all played out. Teams that went deep into the playoffs had defenses that could hold teams at bay until their offenses could find answers. The Niners had absolutely no offense in the first half of their game against the Packers, but their D kept them in the game until their O & special teams did just enough to win. The same could be said of the Bengals beating TN. And the Bengals D is the reason they beat KC also. The Bengals got hosed late in the Rams game, but it was their D shutting down the Rams running game that put them in position to win that game. And they truly should have won. It’s a shame they didn’t. I’d be sick to my stomach if I were a Cincy fan right now. I have given Keim the benefit of the doubt in years past. But, if he can’t give Murray the weapons he needs, and enough depth to overcome what we’ve seen the last 2 seasons, then they have to bring in someone who can.

So, if that's all it was why not a quick post or story saying "Just doing some house-cleaning on my socials. Nothing else going on." ??

Could have avoided all of this, but then again most feel there is more to it than "this is what the younger kids are doing these days."

His silence spoke volumes.

Except this is underselling how truly inept he became. Colt McCoy looked worlds better for him, and no doubt at that point would have given us a better shot in the playoffs. I'll stand by that opinion because KM had NOTHING in that game. He was abysmal. It was a lot worse than "he fell off" for me.

Some of us old farts don't get the social media rules and nuances. I know a few years back I got a friend request from my son on Facebook and I asked him "Weren't we already friends?". He then told me he had got angry with me (which I knew) and "unfriended" me. I told him I never would have known if you hadn't told me.

Since then, I learned that "unfriending" someone was, like, the worst "dis" a person could do to you. LOL

I am sure on the new sites there are probably many ways that you can "dis" someone. Like, scrubbing your site a la Murray. I don't know, after pondering this a while I am just going to ignore what's going on until after free agency and the draft. Maybe.

The person who looks like the absolute worst in this is blogger Chuck Harris. Dude is getting roasted everywhere with that halftime post.
yes, but in fairness, it was Bickley who said it on the radio.

Bickley is a trained journalist (even if he isnt doing true journalism now).

If he was going to put that statement in a news article, i bet his editor would have made him come up with a corroborating source. I suspect he didnt

It's the framing of his post that everyone is making fun of. If he is going to pretend he is anything other than Mitch with a Facebook group, you have to comport yourself on some level.

You're overlooking just how bad Colt was in that Panthers game. One of the 5 worst Total QBR's on the season and three of those came from rookies. To me that game was the blueprint to playing the Cardinals without Hopkins. Play tight man coverage and get pressure up the middle.

No doubt Kyler was horrific in the Lions and playoff games.

Hey, at least son asked you. My kids want almost nothing to do with me on social media. The oldest two have Facebook accounts, which they never use, it's just to stay in touch with family. Their "real" social media is Instagram and Snap Chat. Facebook, for my youngest... I might as well suggest switching to a land line phone. That is for OLD people.

I stopped at Facebook (mostly to see pics of my grandchildren) and am getting pretty much done with it as well. I know pretty much nothing about the other platforms out there. LOL

"Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go (unless it's a playoff game and we're losing badly and there's only 1:05 remaining on the clock)." - Kyler Murray
This is so stupid, key point we were losing badly with ZERO chance of doing anything, so what’s the point? Just imagine he goes in and takes a hit or makes a move wrong and ACL or something. Then all you crybaby’s would be like why the hell was he even in when the game was long over, blah blah blah. Get over it not the first QB not to finish a blowout geesh.

So you’re okay with the QB saying “screw my teammates out there. I’m done.”

I think the main problem here is Michael and Keim but to blow off Kyler blowing off the guys who have been going to war with all season is a joke as well. That’s bush league primadonna BS.

Not heard one peep from any team mate? He took a beating the whole game what exactly is the point to take any risk to go run two meaningless plays? Making something out of nothing here…
