How good can you get?

I talk about him like I USED to talk about Adrian Wilson.

If Dansby stays healthy, and keeps that amazing speed and quickness he could be pro bowl material.

He had very good stats for a rookie.

Peace

I still remember him chasing down Michael Vick.

That's good, because it only happened a few months ago

At this point in life, I have very limited potential. I've had to face reality, that at the age of 39, it's unlikely I'll realize my NFL dream of playing MLB.

You know AJ, it is funny. I grew up in the town the Cards trained in during their time in St. Louis. Almost everyone was really nice...even Bill Bidwill. The one mean guy I remember was Larry Wilson. Always bitching about us kids. We always played in the lobby of the dorm where the cards lived. He would walk through...get away kids...lol. Funny now, but not then. Anyway, your avatar always brings back those memories. Peace. By the way, I played MLB...never pro though...31 and I still wish i could. 5'11" and 215 was just too small. I have accepted and moved on...kind of

With speed to blitz and having good cover skills for a LB the sky is the limit for this future pro bowler LB.

Mike Linebacker, baby!

I've got decent size, 6'4", 255, with a tremendous center of gravity, that would be visible the moment I hit the field. Yes, my lateral movement is suspect, but my work ethic and heart could more than make up for that deficiency. I'm convinced I could hold down a spot on IR and wave a towel on the sidelines with the best of them. In fact, given the chance, there's no doubt in my mind I would earn that spot the first day of camp!

Denny, are you reading this? Have Rod call my agent!

Agree...great size and speed. He could be the prototype OLB in the NFL for years to come. I really think he could be special. I am a little worried about that frame though. He has alot of open space and he is injury prone. I really think that alot of pro athletes do not focus on strengthening the pivot points of their bodies; knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows and necks. These are the weakest points of the body. The taller and widespread a player is the more prone they are to injuries in these areas.

I've talked to him a couple of times since the Cards have been here, he seemed to be a nice guy. Of course, once I heard about the game he played with two broken arms, he became a legend in my mind.

Dansby is my favorite Rookie out of the class. I just love the plays the dude makes. His picking the ball sacking the QB, he's all over. The dude is bad ass!!

Dansby was fun to watch but my favorite rook is Dockett because people said that the Cards shouldn't draft him because he was overrated and had a bad attitude off the field. They were wrong, at least so far, on both counts.

Come on AJ Blanda and Chandler played well into their 40's.

Its great Knowing the Cards are going to have Young corps of Guys in Fitz, Boldin, Dockett and Dansby, that kicks so much ass!!!

That's always been my fear on Dansby, why when we picked him I wasn't all that thrilled although admittedly he had a terrific year. Dansby came to Auburn as a 185 pounder who wanted to play WR, but was moved to SS after they flirted with putting him at FS. Tuberville is a LB coach by trade, he coached Ray Lewis, Michael Barrow and Jessie Armstead while at Miami, he knows LB's. He recruited Dansby by telling him he could stay at WR, Alabama said they wanted him on defense, so Dansby chose Auburn. Then in 2 a days his freshman year they convinced him if he wanted to play faster, he should move to defense and the rest is history.

We list him at 243, so you can see he's gained roughly 60 pounds since highschool which makes you wonder just how much more weight he can put on that frame before the speed starts to fade and the injuries start to increase? He benched less than 300 coming out of Auburn so hopefully Wetzel has him improving his upper body strength, I think that's the key with him now, just get stronger not add more weight.

Great talent.
