I am just thankful when the Cardinals updated their logo they didn't use the same one as ColorWerx avatar!Same exact color that the Buccaneers use...moklerman just incorrectly referred to it as "dark orange".

Bizarre! My avatar is just a portion of the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals logo that was from the 1999 Turn Ahead the Clock promotion:
Robo-Cardinals.
Really? Through a toy truck on nflshop.com that was quickly removed?the lions leaked it on purpose.......they wanted feedback......
So far, I've:
liked the Jets changing back to their white helmets
disliked the Chargers "modernizing" away from their Fouts era stuff(which was already a change from their original uniforms--figure it out already San Diego)
liked the Bengals switch to stripes instead of text but disliked the recent tinkering
liked Buffalo switching from white to red helmets but hated the rugby style jersey later on.
didn't like the Falcons switching from red to black helmets.
liked the switch New England made from white to silver and the new logo.
hated the Broncos big change but have grown used to it. This isn't to say that I liked the old uniforms but the new one's didn't work for me.
loved the Buccaneers switch to pewter and dark orange. The Popsicle orange has it's place in NFL history but nothing to be taken seriously.
liked the Rams change to darker blue and gold from royal blue and yellow but hated the redesigned uniforms. The horns on the shoulders and stripes down the leg were very much to my liking.
liked the Cardinals new red jerseys hate the white rugby one's
Anyone else have thoughts on uniform changes throughout the league and through the years? This list is off the top of my head so I'm sure I'm forgetting quite a few and it's only since 1980 when I first started watching football. One thing I noticed while compiling this list (NE, Rams, TB, Buffalo for example) is the movement toward muted colors. So many of the old uniforms had bright, primary type colors that really had nice contrast. So much of the new stuff isn't like that. The Rams are a great example of this. The blue and yellow used to "pop". It looked horrible on the merchandising but the actual uniforms were a sight to see. The new stuff is the exact opposite. The gold(which is very muted for some reason) and dark blue just become a wash and don't stand out nearly as well. I am thankful that the league(so far) hasn't allowed them to change their helmet logo. I'm willing to bet that if they had had their way the Rams would have changed the helmet logo to the ram head that is in a "v" shape like New England's Patriot head.

This reminded me of how the new Cardinal logo was "cracked". Remember the animated GIF of a bird egg on the the official website that was being slowly revealed? Someone on the forum was able download the GIF and speed up the process and thus revealing the new logo! The power of the internet has struck again.
And for the record, I like their new logo, too. Tradition is good, but change for the better is always a good thing. I still really like the new Cardinal logo!
OK, flash animation and not an animated GIF. You can tell it wasn't me that revealed it.It wasn't a gif, it was a flash animation. You just had to take the flash animation from your temporary internet files and bring it into Flash which allowed you to see all the individual elements (including the logo) that made up the animation. It wasn't "cracked" at all.
