.....listening to two chimpanzees try to recite poetry.

These guys are the two least knowledgable people I've ever heard claim to be sports experts. I think their preparation for talking about the draft consisted of 45 seconds of glancing at the free section of melkiper.com.

Internet Streaming is Down - What Did Graves Say

Can any of you provide a recap of Graves' remarks and anything else interesting? They screwed up the Internet transmission.

Well, I can't comment on them overall (I assumed they were decent) but I'm waiting to hear Rod Graves right now and this is just pathetic. I don't think they even know who these guys are.

You can always surf on over to the BRS and check out the prospects they're talking about - in real time.

Note - I posted additional info for the top 10 DE's. (I'll always add new info first for the positions we need the most help in - DE, DT, CB, WR and then MLB).

I think Mike Jurecki is one of the more diligent reporters I've been around. He does his homework, and talks to people in the know. Certainly you're entitle to your opinions, but I enjoy listening to MJ and Lew talking about football.

I would add that I don't think they immerse themselves in the draft like some do and they focus more on the actual product the Cards have right now. Maybe just my perception and I admit that the draft is interwoven into what the Cards have right now but they never spend alot of time on the draft when I am listening. I think that is what Jim Sabo from ourlads is on each week, so they can have someone who REALLY follows the draft to chime in.

Dave - so would I if I could hear them. It would be helpful if freakin' KDUS wouldn't screw up the bleeping streaming process.

Anyone - It's an hour since the show was supposed to start. Did Rod Graves ever get there?

Hey Jeff! What's this BRS you refer to? I'm assuming it's some sort of website you created/maintain? Do you have a link or a URL you can post? I'd like to check it out sometime. Thanks!

For what it's worth, I don't know who half the guys/prospects people post about here are, but then again, I don't host my own show on sports talk radio either.

Agreed. Even back when MJ was at the other station, he's been really solid. For my money, best regualr Cards reporting on radio.

I'm not commenting on his accuracy as a reporter. From all accounts, he sounds like a good journalist and an entertaining talk show host but the pair's draft analysis left a little to be desired.

There was some guy on the sports radio in Chicago a few years back, his name started with a "D", i always used to enjoy his Blackhawks post game show.....I wonder what happened to him :)

I agree about Mike. He does a very good job and knows what he is talking about. About 180 degrees from Gambo who just rants to hear himself spew garbage.

Well I'll stand corrected, Jurecki is a great guy apparently, but he lost me when he suggested that the Jets would trade us John Abraham for the #6 pick irrespective of the fact that Abraham's contract is untradeable and that would give the Jets three #1 picks!

Phoenix/west side!!!
My comments about the town in general and the football coverage has to do with any off season coverage... How about a pre-draft Sunday night sports show dealing with the offseason free agent signings and what holes should be addressed during the draft...... where players might be available an so on....... I don't recall any station doing anything like this????

I'll throw in some more support from MJ. I've listened to him since he was on 910. That show ALWAYS comes back to football year round, no matter how hard they try to talk about baseball or hockey, etc. Plus he puts on an entertaining show. IMO the rest of KDUSs lineup is like listening to paint dry.

What?
Listening to Bill Lewis and Mike Jurecki talk about the draft is like...

Reading the draft posts here! I'm not knocking the hard work a few put into collecting info and formulating their version of future events. Just keep in mind that radio hosts, national writers, local writers and sports board posters will all be 90% wrong. And everyone down to a man will swear if the Cards had selected as they wished we would be so much better off. The only consistant in predicting drafts is you will usually step out there on your own with very few total supporters. Another mock drafter will inevitably disagree and think you're an idiot.

Does Vegas have a bet where you pick the first round choices in order considering all trades and the goofy crap that happens every year? If they do it must pay a million to one.

Like I said I'm not knocking any of the draft guys, your insight is very fun and worth while. It's just a very low percentage of accuracy game.

Consider the alternative (Better MJ & BL than nothing).

Mirroring our society - we Cardinal fans have a tendency to eat our young.

I listen, I read, I enjoy; but I don't accept everything MJ and Bill say.

Why is it untradeable? Was he their Franchise Player? If it were some other clause and not a franchise player issue, I would bet the farm that 99% of the media outside of New York would not have known about it.
