LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT HAPPEN!

Bruce Willis still has a few yippee-ki-yays left in him. USA Today reports that the optimistic star is gearing up to reprise his role as wrong-place, wrong-time cop John McClane in "Die Hard 4." "We're working on it," says Willis, 48. "Fox wants to do it. I want to do it. It depends on the script." And what of those rumors that bride-for-55-hours Britney Spears will co-star in the flick? "I'm the only one I know of who's gonna be in 'Die Hard 4,'" he tells Entertainment Tonight.

Bruce Willis Says Die Hard 4.0 Still on
Source: Freeze Dried Movies
January 15, 2005

Maxim magazine (via Freeze Dried Movies) asked Bruce Willis, who stars in the upcoming Hostage and Sin City, about whether or not a fourth "Die Hard" movie was still a go.

"It's Die Hard 4.0. They're working on the script right now," says Willis. "Doug Richardson, who wrote 'Hostage' is typing away furiously. It's a really interesting idea. And it's the first one that Fox has liked, so we'll see."

While he wouldn't reveal much about the plot, he did add, "John McClane is retired. I can tell you that."

----------------------------------------------

Hopefully they have come up with a decent idea for this one.

Not too sure of the McLane in the Jungle with his daughter (Britney Spears) plot that was thrown around before. :D

Would someone make the little plastic **** go away, please?!?!?!

If Willis is going to make a 4.0, don't ruin it with a blatant attempt to boost ticket sales with that little tramp. Make the bad girl go away.....

Willis Plans Fall Die Hard 4.0 Shoot
Source: BBC
February 9, 2005

While doing the promo rounds for his new action thriller Hostage in London, Bruce Willis told the BBC that a fourth "Die Hard" movie is moving ahead.

"'Die Hard 4.0' is being written as we speak, and if all goes well we'll be shooting it in Autumn on the east coast of the United States."

As he previously said: "John McClane has retired as a cop, and that's all that Fox has allowed me to tell you about it."

More From Bruce on Die Hard 4.0
Source: Empire Online
February 23, 2005

Empire Online caught up with Bruce Willis and tried to get more out of him regarding the Die Hard 4.0 script. "Doug Richardson, who wrote Hostage, took a shot at Die Hard 4.0 and it's a good idea. The script will be done by summer and they want to shoot it in the fall. McClane's retired, he's not a cop anymore," said Willis.

But we knew all that already, so the magazine asked for more. "It's completely different from the other three films. The only one of the other three films that I thought had any merit to it was the first one. Actually, in the third one I think Sam Jackson's work was really strong."

They asked what the significance was of the 'point-oh' in the title. "Well, it has something to do with computers..."

----------------------------------------------

Maybe Hostage will give us some idea of how 4.0 will be.

Personally, I like all 3 previous Die Hard films. Obviously the first was the best, but the others are fun movies also IMO.

Source: The Hollywood Reporter
May 31, 2006

Len Wiseman (Underworld: Evolution, Underworld) is in talks to direct Die Hard 4 for 20th Century Fox, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The trade says the fourth installment of the franchise finds hero John McClane coming out of retirement to battle an Internet terrorist organization. Bruce Willis will reprise his role as the fearless cop.

Mark Bomback and Doug Richardson wrote the screenplay, which at one point was titled "Die Hard 4.0." Arnold Rifkin is producing the latest entry.

The three "Die Hard" films have earned $740 worldwide.
