Live from Scottsdale Arizona!

That's right.....after 2 days of driving and almost 27 hours of keeping 4 kids and an unruly jittery wife caged up in the van, we got here Tuesday Night! Now it's time to practice my drinking for Sunday and relax! It was a loooooooong trip but so worth it! I have to say, this is the most beautiful state I have ever seen...nothing like it anywhere. I absolutely love it here and cant wait to officially move here very soon! Definately hot but I'll take it well over the St Louis humidity! Anyway, I'm taking the family to Bert Berry's show tonight with WaynesCard, anybody here going???? I'm looking forward to meeting alot of you either tonight or this Sunday! Everybody take care and see some of you soon!!!!

Good for you! I moved from So. Ill out west many years ago and won't go back. Lived in Scottsdale for (not too far from where you're staying) 7 years, got tired of desert and had to move but still love AZ.

Lots to do in that area, if you're in the mood for great pizza and pasta head west on Shea and you'll see Oregano's on your left (it's right before Scottsdale Rd approx. 75th St); fun place.

Late afternoon drivetime will likely take you an hour or more to get to Chandler Fashion Square (Shopping Mall area where Majerle's Sports Grill is located.)

Oreganos is great, but if you don't feel like waiting for a table you can go to Uncle Sams for great Subs/Hoagies and pizza. The address is: 10520 N 90th St
It's on Shea and 90th Street. It will only take you approx. 10 minutes to get there from your hotel.

Goldie's sports bar isn't too far as its just south of Shea on Via Linda. Good food good spirits good sports. You can watch Matt Holliday hit another HR after Pujols walks.

Hard to find though as its in the middle of a large residential area.

I would assume that taking 101 around the North side would be the fastest way to the stadium. There are plenty of stores, restaurants etc in the area but man that area is a long way from Glendale.

A friend of mine runs a couple Marriotts in St Louis and gets us rooms real cheap, the only downside is we have to take whatevers available....

Thanks for the warm welcome, just wish I would have gotten your tip a couple days ago.....Our first full day here was Wednesday and I got burned badly within the first 90 mins out by the pool, still recovering... This is my 3rd trip/game here but the first time I've driven(that wont happen again )...Was out here for the last season in SDS against the Seahawks and opening day of the new stadium against the niners. Cant wait till Sunday!!!!

I seen Uncle Sams when we were heading to Majerle's last night....was wondering what it was and was a little scared since I haven't paid my taxes in 2 years!! Just kidding... We'll have to give it a try today or tomorrow! Thanks for the tip!
