Bishop Stang girls hockey is making its first-ever appearance in a MIAA state championship game on Sunday at TD Garden when the No. 15 Spartans take on top-seeded Hingham at 11 a.m.

The top-seeded Harbormen (23-1-1) beat No. 32 Wellesley, No. 16 Shrewsbury, No. 8 Belmont and No. 4 North Andover to make it here.
The No. 15 Spartans (18-5-1) advanced to its first-ever state championship appearance with a 3-2 overtime win over No. 2 Methuen in the Final Four. Bishop Stang, which had never won a playoff game prior to this year, also defeated No. 18 Winthrop, No. 6 Notre Dame Academy, and No. 7 Bishop Feehan in previous rounds.
