The Meadville boys volleyball team swept Rocky Grove 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-5) on Tuesday at the House of Thrills in a region opener for the Bulldogs.

Luc Soerensen led the 'Dogs with 10 kills. Evan Petersen, Max Decker and Parker Gosnell each added five kills. Decker also had 29 assists and Landon Carter paced the defense with 10 digs.

Meadville is 3-0 overall and will play at Conneaut on Thursday.

Panthers sweep Blue Devils

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — Saegertown defeated Cambridge Springs 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-10) in a boys volleyball region match at The Devils Den on Tuesday.

Jackson Scott dished 20 assists and added five kills and five blocks. Mason Allio recorded seven aces and Cru Scott led the attack with nine kills. Josh Weaver and Ryder Bailey each added five kills.

Saegertown is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the region. The Panthers will host Mercyhurst Prep on Thursday.

Cardinals fall to Bison

COCHRANTON — The Cochranton boys volleyball team lost to Fort LeBoeuf 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) on Tuesday at The Bird Cage.

The Cardinals fell to 1-3 on the year. Cochranton will compete in the Seneca Valley Tournament on Saturday.

Brady Rynd had 12 kills and 10 digs, CJ Shorts had seven kills and six digs while Evan King dished 16 assists.

Blue Devils blank Sailors

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — The Cambridge Springs softball team beat Lakeview 14-0 in a Region 2 contest on Monday.

The Blue Devils had 11 hits, led by Jada Murawski's three, which included one home run and a double. Jaydan Simmons added a home run and three RBIs.

In the circle, Kayla Crawford fanned 12 in a no-hitter.

Cambridge Springs is 3-0 overall and 1-0 in region play. The Blue Devils are scheduled to play at Saegertown on Thursday.

STONEBORO — Cochranton lost to Lakeview 11-0 in a Region 3 baseball game on Monday.

The Cardinals managed two hits in the loss, one each from Walker Carroll and Andrew Albert.

Cochranton is 1-5 overall and 1-2 in region play. The Cardinals are scheduled to host Jamestown on Wednesday.
