I'm surprised by Hobson and Fowler. Ben Claxton doesn't seem like an NFL caliber player to me. Good move keeping Byrd over Pope. Long hasn't looked anything more than average to me, but I'll trust Whis on that one.

Depends on Which part of pre-season. Looked pretty damned good in the 1st two games and mediocre in the last two. But then again who didnt in those games?

Hobson getting cut coming off of a two-sack game is a bit of a surprise. Happy to see Francisco gone. We can finally stick in guys like Rashad Johnson who can actually cover. I think guys like Onrea Jones, Trevor Canfield, and Tyler Palko are going to be on the practice squad.

7 WR's - some are unhealthy thats why. I dont expect to see 7 WR's on the roster for the whole season. Long might be gone when Patrick gets back for game 5.

There is always a chance, whether it happens or not your guess is as good as mine. But until 4 out of the 7 WR's Boldin, Breaston, Doucet and Urban show they are fully healthy I think the odds of it are slim to none.

They're down Amani Toomer so they may want Long, but I think a late round pick is more realistic.
