The 1985-86 Boston Celtics are widely seen as one of -- if not THE -- best ball clubs to ever step on to the basketball court, and for good reason. They cut a swath through the NBA that season like a hot knife through butter with one of the most Hall of Fame-heavy rosters ever assembled on their way to a then-league record 16th title.
The potent combination of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson, Danny Ainge, and Bill Walton was quite literally almost unstoppable, and were one of the most documented teams of their era as a result of their star-studded roster.
The folks behind the "NBC Sports Boston" YouTube channel put together a clip to look back on that halcyon era from our privileged spot in the present. Check it out below!
