We'll see. He could help or hurt (see Jameer Nelson in last year's Finals) or be a non-factor. Lots of unknowns in this series.

Whatever happens, we know that Lopez will have the best hair in the series.

According to Gentry, Lopez will be guarding Gasol while Amare will be on Bynum.

Sorry, Renz. This is nothing like Nelson last year. Lopez is a huge upgrade over Collins.

As has been stated this is much different than the Nelson situation. The Suns have been starting Collins who provides next to nothing and is only playing token minutes.

Suns will not need to adjust their rotations all and can gradually work Lopez back in short spurts.

A Lopez that is healthy enough to play is much more important than Collins at his absolute best.

I'm happy about this even if he plays limited minutes. We've done well but I'm glad we atleast get to give the Lakers our best shot at full strength.

I'm not buying any of this stuff about Bynum and Kobe so hopefully after tonight, all the injuries and talking will be left behind and we'll just play basketball.

Neither do i. I don't think the LAKERS themselve's are nearly as confident & cocky going into this series as their fanbase & the national media are. I could be wrong but i think that S.A./Popovich also new beating us wasn't going to be easy(unlike their confident fanbase).

Some of the articles coming out of LA are laughable with their predictions of rolling over this SUNS team. Phil & the LAKERS are playing every angle in order to try to gain an edge, while the fanbase is already gearing up for the NBA Finals.

I'm hoping that Lopez can put in 10-15 decent minutes, grab some rebounds, box out, change some shot's etc...and he'll get stronger as the series goes on.

Well lets hope he is in somewhat game shape, but no doubt he should be better then collins in every way possible. I just hope he doesn't hurt our flow we have going right now. But man if Lopez is actually healthy and in gameshape form then man he will really help us against the lakers eaither way. Should be intresting to watch LETS GO SUNS BEAT THE LAKERS. uh

With Lopez back, the height factor is almost non existent. This is going to be a real interesting series. Get one for Nash, guys!!!!!!

Just when you think Barkley might actually follow and like a Suns team he shoots his mouth off and shows how little he knows. He says Lopez shouldn't start because you don't mess with this team's chemistry now that they are playing so well. He says bring him off the bench.

Anybody that watches this team knows that replacing Collins is the only way you could integrate Lopez without affecting chemistry. If he's not capable of playing that role he probably has no value to us. On top of how poorly Collins has played, does anybody remember how bad Lopez looked early in the year as a bench player?

i believe that Collins was a disaster out there, but there is a chance that Lopez is disruptive out there whereas at least there was a certain rythym out there with Collins. It's not a good chance considering how little Collins gave us, but there's always a chance, especially going up against the best team in the world in his first playoff games ever.

I am not sure if there was any rhythm with Collins. Remember the last three first quarters we played we were outscored pretty bad by the Spurs. We have not started games well with Collins in there.

^Well even if we do bench robin it maybe a factor where he messes up our gritty play of our 2nd unit..

IMO: Start the man.. Let him play about 10 min the entire game and have collins/frye play the rest.. If lopez is on a tear, leave him in for longer.

With Collins they were playing 4 on 5 on offense.

At least Lopez has the height and touch around the basket to make them pay for leaving him.

Well, despite what I said, I mostly agree with you. However, my point is that starting in place of Collins is the only way he would not disrupt chemistry. I could see not playing him at all or even using him sparingly in this game before moving him back in as a starter but Chuck was advocating making him a rotation player.

I think the worst thing we could do for chemistry would be to disrupt Frye's spot in the rotation. He has a fairly fragile ego and his shooting will be very important in this series. Also, starting Lopez in the first game lets him get his feet wet at a time when both teams are likely to be a little rusty.

so it's gonna be like this, huh, where a falling down, weak legged Kobe gets every call no matter what happens. Great.
