Trying to find a long body to fill out roster.

Per 48 he is 9th in the NBA in blocked shots & grabbed 4 boards in 12 min PG last yaer.

7'2" long still only 28. Might be a good signing...

Loren Woods might be the biggest head case in the NBA. The Phoenix Suns weren't going to draft him because of this, and they wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole now.

Lets use the TE to get Griffin!
Which one do you mean? I really liked how Adrian Griffin played against us and if he could play SG I'd be interested in him.

I meant Eddie Griffin, bigger headcase than Woods. I doubt the Mavs and Suns will be making any trades with one another.

Adrian Griffin is a free agent I think... it's hard to tell from Hoopshype as they have him as collecting nothing from the Mavs in 06/07 but he's not on the free agent list for the Mavs. I guess I'm not sure.

If he is showing up on the Mavs roster it means he has a contract with them, if it's blank it just means they don't know what it's worth.

Cool, thanks for digging that up. Anyone interested in Adrian Griffin? He's probably not enough of a shooting threat despite the damage he did against the Suns.

I'd say it's an issue of range. He scored 4.6 ppg last season and shot 48% for the season, but was 0 of 2 for three points.

Loren woods still seems like a descent move considering our current opptions.

Long tall good rebounder/shotblocker cheap!

The Suns needs a seven footer badly... and another player to commit 6 fouls off the bench to help the front court against the Duncans, Shaqs etc.

As little as I think we would really use a big center, He seems to be a good fit for low min's he does put up good numbers.

I don't have a handle on Woods. He's had periods when he played pretty well, but it doesn't last. If he couldn't play in Toronto with a despirate need for a center, I can't see him helping anyone.

I read an article one time that was written by a guard who was the 12th man for the Lakers during the West era. He said the coach told him he had a job as long as he could make West bust his but during practice.

Maybe Lampe getting a job depends more on how he pushes Amare in practice than meaningless stats in summer league.

My feeling is that Burke's role is almost entirely as a practice big man. Last year they carried three, so Lampe might perform that role.
