I want it to be known that I TRIED the salsa--both the green & the red. Both were ungodly hot. :)

I had the chicken chimichanga (no sauce :) ), no rice, just beans. It was very good.

LOL...I saw this on the other thread and thought "how in the HELL did Linda eat here??"

Sonofa...I would have loved to be there at that dinner...I would have held my breath as you took a bite just waiting like a kid on Christmas Eve, just to see your reaction.

Went there last night. The service was a little slow, but the food and atmosphere were very good. Definitely spicey, but nothing a cold Corona couldn't fix. :)

The service there is ALWAYS slow...they take their damn time and iirc they are proud of it. Oh well, just more time for another beer.

True, service takes a while. More time to torture myself by eating the salsa and drinking watered down pepsi. Good times.

I just put the least little tiny bit of salsa on the chip...and then drank a TON of ice water. My tongue burned for the rest of the meal, but I survived. Not much of a show, I don't think. When it's good is when I don't know it's coming. I knew this place had a rep for hotness, so I was prepared.

Drinking only water pretty much makes the spicyness worse.

OK. We finally made it. We got out there about 6:10P and had a 40 minute wait, which was expected. We had trouble finding the entrance, but then made fun of/helped the dozen or so people who came there after us find it. ;)

I am glad that we had the heads up regarding the slow service; it was not a problem since it was expected. The chips and salsas were good. I'm not usually a fan of salsa verde, but theirs was very good.

For dinner, I had the Chile Relleno and Erin had the tacos. Washed it all down with some Coronas (probably should have went with the margarita, but oh well).

All in all, it was very good, worth the drive and the wait.

Margaritas are excellent. Good ways to chill an overspiced tongue: milk, cucumbers, plain steamed rice.

I knew milk...didn't know cucumbers or rice. Thank you--I'll remember that! :)

Thats why a lot of asian (especially SE Asian and Korean Food) come with bowls of steamed rice, and often you'll find the cucumbers there as well

went to the one of central last night - I enjoyed it (I had the carne adovada chimi, my brother had the same in a burrito) - we got in about 8, was told a 30 minute wait and they sat us in 25 - service was super fast - we had our meal finished by around 9 - paying some price this morning

we had chips & salsa while waiting and those were pretty hot - the salsas provided with dinner were not that bad

the adovada had a good amount of spice, but nothing too crazy - reminds me of some of the better places i've been to in NM

NM has the best Mexican food...by far. It's done right there, not like these cilantro loving places here. It's green chile, and gooooood.

My mouth is watering thinking about freshly roasted hatch green chile.

I keep thinking that we should have an ASFN night there, but couldn't (of course) remember the name of the place. Chase Field location is awesome news!

Looks like it will have to be after 12/15; only open for lunch pending the approval of their liquor license.
