OK! It was a tough game to lose but I decided to watch the post-game ceremony. Much to my surprise and disappointment there was "NO good game Cardinals", NO GLORY to GOD... NOTHING except Steelers this & that. In that moment I lost alot of respect for a team that I had admired in the Past. The thing that did make me feel proud to be a Cardinals' fan was the post-game interview with Whiz' where the reporter asked his feelings on watching his colleagues with the Steelers celebrate. 1st, what an insensitive question to ask at that moment. 2nd, Whiz' had a look of, Are you kidding me?? He shot back, I was disappointed for OUR team! I am PROUD to have a man of character leading this team. Who DEFINITELY cares about US!

I didn't realize that professional athletes were obligated to publicly give "glory to god" after a victory. Good to know.

Winning six superbowls has a tendency to gain a ton of butt kissing. This was Pittsburgh's world, and Arizona was just there for the party. Even if we won, it would have been "Pittsburgh this Pittsburgh that."

NO! They're NOT! But, a good game Cardinals would've been appropriate, don't ya think?? While I'm sure nothing is scripted this was the 1st time in my (43) years of watching the Super Bowl where the opposing team was NOT mentioned in any way.

OK. Here's the deal. I don't care about what the Steelers think. I care about us.

Want respect? Win the Super Bowl next year, and then take advantage of the opportunity to act classier next year than the Steelers did this year.

Tell you what - I tip my hat to Roethlisberger and Holmes for their perfect execution of the winning play. (Everything had to go right and it did).

And I'll continue to bang my head over every available cinder-block wall I come across - reviewing over and over in my mind "What if?"

But I've never been prouder of this young, talented Cardinal team that matured before our very eyes during the course of the season.

Nor am I any less proud of Cardinal fans who have become more knowledgeable, greater in number and louder at football games. (There may have been a gazillion yellow towels at yesterday's game, but the loudest noise coming through my TV speaker was "Cardinal Noise" - especially when then they were chanting "Let's Go Cardinals!"

The one thing you can ask any team to do in any game is to make the other team have to play its very best in order to beat you. We did that. You can ask no more.

I'm so upset we lost, but so-o-o proud we've made it this far as a team and its supporters. Biggest thing ahead of us is to "keep it going."

Trust me here, I live 3 hours from Pittsburg and while those in and around the area are dei hard fans. Those who claim to be, in the same region, arent even close. Sure there are fans that are diehard and I know plenty of them. I also know many more that could care less about the Steelers until they get into the playoffs.

I see it week after week. Then January comes along and all you see are black jerseys and people wearing them that you know closely and have no idea they even follow the Steelers.

Im not saying they dont have one of the biggest fan bases in the NFL, but on a daily basis I see wanna be die hards only when the big games come up.

I have seen the same thing with Ohio State basketball. One year they are good, everyone has been an OSU basketball fan for ever. The next, nobody cares to watch a game. It is what it is, but again, Ill take a small group of die hards over a large pompus population of pretend Steeler fans mixed in with 30,000 die hards.

I simply strongly suspect that what I see as somewhat irrational dislike for his play stems from personal dislike.

No I agree with you that those fans made me sick. It was more of a kick in the nuts, that those fans sprouted out of nowhere and try to represent a team that nobody outside of the die hard Cardinal fans supported for years.

It just makes me sick being out here, because all I hear now from these phony Steeler fans I meet is how great they are. How they were going to kick our ass anyway. How the game was called fine, quit complaining.

Hell I had Steeler fans call the game over with at the start of the 4th quarter. Saying, man this win feels great. I think ill have a victory taco.

One moment that will never escape me is Fitz turning that slant into what could have been the greatest play in Cardinal history. And I blew up on those phony Steeler fans that had the nerve to come to my house and act high and mighty. I kicked over a recliner, jumped over the couch, and thougt for one second FINALLY, something went OUR way.

Either way, im going to be sour about this loss for years to come, much like I was when the refs played a similar role in the DUke UA championship game in '01. Sure we didnt execute in either situation, but you cant help but think that those calls stole something away from you, even if they didnt cost UA or the Cardinals either game.

As a Steelers fan, I was surprised by this. TBH, I think Tomlin was a bit overwhelmed by the moment. After the AFCCG, he was very gracious toward Baltimore and said something along the lines of 'This rivalry makes us who we are' and 'metal makes metal stronger' or something like that.

I think he is a very humble guy and if he had it to do over again with time to contemplate, he would have made mention of the Cards.

I agree about whiz's response. He is your coach now and that's it. His history with the Steelers is just that.
