Wife and I just started watching this on Netflix. I've heard the the ending of the series left everyone disappointed but so far(3/4 of the way through season 1) we're enjoying it so far.

most everything through the end of S3 is pretty damn great. Wheels start to come off after that and the entire car breaks down at the end.

Seasons 1 & 2 are spectacular. The first 6 episodes of Season 3 are borefests, but it really picks up during the rest of 3. It goes a bit downhill per following season, but not by much, IMO. My 2nd favorite show of all time.

I watched the whole thing starting about a year ago and finished it up earlier this year. I pretty much liked it all the way to the end. My suspension of disbelief powers are pretty high though.

I really like the assorted cast of characters and even though there's massive implausibility, it's clear that all of these people came together for a reason. And so far John Locke is my favorite character.

This one's the show with the ginormous monster crashing through the jungle that somehow no one could see in the pilot? Yeah, big pass on that one--if we're talking about the same show. I just remember not in the least getting into this show.

My wife and I started watching on Netflix after the 6th season. We watched all 6 seasons in the month of January. We call it our "Lost month."

That's why you didn't watch? Seriously?

Wow, if there was anything you are missing out on, it's Lost.

Well, that was annoying, no two ways about it, but the rest of the pilot didn't click for me. I was kind of 'meh', not loving it, not hating it. The audience cheat sealed the deal. I'm good with missing out on it. Plenty of other things the mob has liked but I haven't. Heck, people loved Honey Boo Boo--I'm good being on the other side of that fence :D

j/k on the Honey Boo Boo reference--I didn't hate Lost THAT much :)

Lost ended up being so much more than that one thing. In fact, the in grand scheme of things it was a red herring and not really a huge part of the overall story. LOST is one of the greatest shows ever on TV IMO.

That I don't understand--parts 1 and 2 of the pilot is some of the best television ever, IMO.

Same here, right after Sopranos.

The Lost threads here are some of the best on the site. I would have missed so much if I didn't follow along as I watched the show.

I've actually been gearing up to start re-watching it sometime next year.

I think a lot of people that hated the ending didn't understand it.

OK. I'm seeing why some thought the show went off the rails in season 4. We're 5 episodes in and the storylines are all over the place.

Yep...agree. It was fun coming here after an episode to have people discussed what happened. Sometimes there would be an "a aha" moment after a discussion.

Lost is one of my top 3 all-time favorite shows. Unlike some, loved the ending.

Yeah, a few bad episodes, but all in all great TV.
