Ping pong balls roll and Suns get #1 and #2. JACKPOT.

If its #2, Washington gets the pick. Its protected 1-9. I wish picks were conveyed based upon actual finish and lottery seeding rather than where the pick falls after the lottery.
Son of a b**** I forgot about the protection on it. Oh well.
We could still find a way but it would involve even more dreaming than your scenario. How about we get lucky and nab the 1st pick pushing the 76ers to the 2nd spot. Minnesota jumps into 3rd which sends the Lakers pick (#4) to Philadelphia. Philly, in love with Simmons (in this dream), sends us the 2, the 4 and their unprotected first next season. Then, we trade Tucker and the Cleveland pick to Minnesota for the 3rd pick and Mohammed giving us the 2,3 and 4 picks. We draft Ingram and trade the other 2 picks for unprotected firsts in next years draft and all 3 of them land in the top 3. That's how you dream.
if tbe nets ans suns end up with identical records who gets the # 3 draft spot.

I was told there would be no math!If 2 teams tie for 3rd each team gets an equal share of the combinations for the tied spots. IOW, they add the combinations for 3rd and 4th and divide by two. If there are 3 teams they do the same thing but add the combinations for 3rd, 4th and 5th and then divide by 3. This is only for the lottery drawing, a coin flip is used for the order of drafting if none of the tied teams get one of the top 3 picks. That coin flip is also used if the number of combinations once divided is not an integer.

I think the best the Wiz pick can be is #12. Teams outside the top 4 can't get a higher pick unless they get into the top 3.#1 and #10 still isn't bad is it?
'Cracked me up. How appropriate for this time of the year. Chevy Chase playing Jerry Ford.I was told there would be no math!
