Anyone else interested in the new FX show 'Louie' starting tomorrow? Louis C.K. is my favorite comedian right now and I can't wait to see this show. Some of the reviews I have seen have been quite promising.

I love Louis C.K. and some of my favorite bits are the ones he does about kids .... so this could be very interesting

he was a painful actor to watch though in Lucky Louie

I think he does that intentionally. He's just as awkward in the new show, I happen to think it's pretty funny. Just wish it wasn't on basic cable.

Absolutely hilarious cameo by Ricky Gervais tonight. I've been impressed so far with the series. I like how they can actually have a serious conversation in the middle of all the craziness that goes on.

I was working 11pm-7am, so I watched some Louis. Color me unimpressed. Is it a show where we watch a standup comedian? Is it a show about the guy Louis? Yes and no. To both questions. Yeah, Seinfeild did a really short bit at the beginning and end of his show. Louis had about 5 minutes of actual show stuffed between standup. Bo-ring.

I think this is why I like the show so much is the fact it is so unusual. I love Louis C.K.'s stand-up so I don't mind it here.

I watched the first two episodes the other night. I'm a huge Louis C.K. fan and found the first episode to be a little forced. The second one was more comfortable and seemed to flow better.

I saw a clip (3rd episode?) with Ricky Gervais guest starring that was genius. I can't wait to see the full episode.

If you haven't seen this show you are really missing out. Showtime and FX have the best shows on television right now. Louie, Always Sunny, Dexter, Californication, and Weeds are possibly the best five shows on tv and from only two networks.

New season started last night and it was great just like the first season. I liked the fact that the episode was one topic instead of split into two different subjects. I hope that is a continuing trend for the season.

this show is beyond hilarious... the bit with the bum was one of the funniest/most shocking things I've ever seen in my life.

I haven't seen the show yet. Actually I saw like 5 mins of it the other day when i was walking out the door and he was giving his kid a candy or somehting and the other kid was pissed because she didn't get one and said "its not fair!" to which Louie replied? "Are you kiddin me? It's not fair? Ofcourse it's not fair you think everyones gonna be equal you're whole life? Get real kid! (lol this was like a 5 year old he was speaking to)

SO anyways that inspired me to watch his standup because he's streaming on netflix right now and ohhhhh boy. I laughed the whole time, dude was crackin me up. I knew who he was but had never really heard of his stuff. I was actually supposed to see him at the Improv in Tempe a few years ago but he canceled and we got stuck with Michael Winslow who was terrible.

I'll have to find this show and put it on my DVR.

It's the small things in this show that makes me laugh the hardest. For whatever reason when he was talking to his daughter about how she liked their mom's place better then did the splits had me rolling on the floor. This show is amazing.

Each episode has only about one or two laughs for me. I don't find him as funny as most. He also laughs too much at his own jokes.

Not for me.

I love the fact this show can go super serious yet still be funny. This week's episode was really funny. The scene in the restaurant was great and his reaction to realizing what a mistake he made was hilarious. Plus can you ever go wrong with bum humor?

Big props to Dane Cook for doing this episode. The first time I saw Cook's stand-up on Comedy Central I thought he was pretty funny. Though each new special and album grew worse and worse in my view and now I can barely stand to hear him. I knew a little about the CK/Cook issue so when I read his name popped up in the info bar on my DVR I was intrigued. I think their scene together is right up there with the poker scene last season about gay people. I wonder how much of this scene was actually scripted and how much was their true feelings. Just another outstanding episode in one of the best shows on tv.

I didn't think it was possible but Louie is giving Breaking Bad a legitimate run for it's title as best show on tv. The two episodes were the perfect contrast to show what this show is capable of. I enjoyed the first episode especially since Louie brought up his old routine about a bag of *****. I loved the 2nd episode as it dealt with a much more serious matter.

Doug Stanhope is a comedian I enjoy but never go out of my way to see. I hated what he and Joe Rogan did to the Man Show but he always makes me laugh even though I don't like his aggressive nature. That said I was in complete awe of him in this episode. You could see his character as a beat up comedian who resented Louie for hitting it big and yet still respect him. Their scene by the car where when Eddie told Louie he was going to kill himself was such a great piece of work. Both guys played it great and I like we will never know what will happen to Eddie. Too often in these moments shows make the guy hearing his friend is going to kill himself go crazy trying to help him, but here Louie realizes that he pretty much forgot Eddie and even though he doesn't really like his life he knows it is still a damn good life to live. He doesn't try to talk Eddie out of it too much, he just reminds him that everyone has their downs. Just a great episode.

I love how in an hour of this show you can talk about masturbation and then suicide and not skip a beat.

I agree, big props to Dane for doing the show. Dane Cook was funny as hell before it turned into big stadium shows where he started repeating everything. I thought he was funny back then too I dont care how 'cool' it became to say he sucks. I thought it was cool of Louie to do the episode too. They are both funny, there's plenty of room in the world for all these comics.

I just liked his energy and the fact that he was just stupid and funny sometimes. I mean I like Louie and David Cross and Patton Oswalt too but one can only listen to; "Meh I'm pissed off at the world and everyone is a moron and I'm so super cool because I'm the only person in the world who really gets it" for so long before it gets redundant too.....

I've said it before but the gap between Breaking Bad and Louie for the top spot in the tv pantheon is now razor thin. Louis CK continues to do amazing work and his trip to Afghanistan was perfect. It was his chance to say thanks to the soldiers and give us an idea of what the USO shows are like. It also has his pathetic pass at the cheerleader and finally that little duck. Loved every moment of this episode and this season as a whole is probably the strongest season of any show I have seen.
