Ask yourself, Cards fans, how loyal are you? I'm talking to those that attack Q, Warner, and so many other players that have brought you the very joy you have craved for years, if not decades.

Look in the mirror. How loyal are you?

Q wants a new contract and all of a sudden he's a bum?

Warner leads us to the Super Bowl, assumes he's dealing with honest, decent, folks, and admits he wants to come back thus putting himself in a position of weakness, and what does he get? A half hearted effort the FO to get him sighned. Instead he gets, "...in light of other priorities we made a fair offer" or some ******** like that.

Yet, he and q can just go suck eggs, right?

Defend the Bidwills who don't give a **** about any of you. Not even you Nidan. Believe me on that.

At least the players go out and put their freakin' heart, soul, and bodies on the line for you every weekend.

Bidwill just asks you taxpayers to build him a new stadium so that he make more cash.

How much joy has pale face Bidwill every given you?

How much joy has Q given you?
How much joy has Warner given you?

Wiz will be gone soon enough.

Half hearted effort?

10 mill a year for 2 years, with half guaranteed? That's a spectacular deal for a 38 year old QB, and he should sign it before we realize we have ALL the leverage and dial it back to 8 million a year.

Yes, because caving to a players desires and demands at a whim no matter how ridiculous they are is true loyalty.

Actually we are probably more loyal than they are. Q is under contract by the way. We tore up his rookie contract and now he wants this one torn up.

From what I hear our offer to Warner is not an insult by any means.

I was an Arizona Cardinal fan before Q was here.
I was an Arizona Cardinal before Warner was here.
I will be an Arizona Cardinal fan long after they are gone.

I root for a team not individuals.

I root for the Arizona Cardinals and that is loyality!

Warner got a Fair offer and is now is talking with the 49ers, Q has turned into a little whiny girl, vdidn't even celebrate the NFC Championship and is going all TO on the Cards. Let Warner go to the 49ers for 15 mil and end his career in mediocrity, Boldin is on a new deal, he is hust crying because Fitz got the $$$$$$$, Fitz showed us why he is worth the money.

I dont think RD was saying that the players are always right and that they should all get what they want from the team, but instead he was asking why the board sis so quick to turn on players, yet will continually give ownership and management the benefit of the doubt. JMHO

38 yar old qb, huh?

Okay.

No 38 year old qb has ever put up the numbers that this 38 year did.

No 38 year old qb has ever led one of the worst franchises in all of sports for the past 50 years to the pinnacle of its sport.

So, save the 38 year old references. I'm not buying.

I've told you before, it's not about the numbers. It's about Graves and Bidwill thinking that it is ALL about the numbers.

Kurt, Q, and so many others could be talked down if they were talked to like men, and not like employees, which is what, IMO, the dysfunctional Bidwills have always done. They are incapable of anything else.

The world knows it. You know it. Jeez, Donald, i know you are a sharp guy, so stop arguing this point just to argue.

Look who the Bidwills have gotten to work for them over the year --NOBODY of consequence. Look who they have working for them now -- NOBODY of consequence. And those that had some talent - LEFT.

Look at the players that have left and succeeded!

This ego trip that so many are on about how much disrespect the world shows us, blah, blah, blah...

THE CARDS HAVE EARNED THAT!

The Cards are like my brother. I will not stand for someone from the outside beating them up, but I will the first to slap him upside the head and tell him he is srewing up!! And screwing up is an unbreakable habit for my brother, unfortunately.

And I was a Cardinal fan way before they came to Arizona.

Would you root for them if they left Az and some other pro team came in?

Actually, nevermind. Don't respond, because I already know the answer.

It's always easy to bash the Bidwills, but at least they made a commitment to staying in AZ. With so many broken promises and failed stadium proposals they could have bolted - especially with the Los Angeles market being available. Instead they put up $143.2 million to help get a stadium built.

If you're upset that they aren't rushing to overpay players that's fine, but they've offered Kurt a more than fair deal and will rework Boldin's.

With all due respect you know nothing about me.

It's not even 48 hours into free agency yet. Take a deep breath, count to ten.
It'll be all right.

How much joy did Warner bring to this team in 2007? It's a team game. Warner had a great year last year. So did Farve 2 years ago and look at what happened to that 39 year old QB.

If Warner leaves to play in San Fran he will suffer a fate much like Farve. Old dog going into a new system with unfamilar player, stsff, offense and surroundings.

So Red Desert, what is the breaking point? I mean, just how much is too much to pay Warner? 15m a year? 18 mil? How much?

And how much have we offered...8, 10, 12. I'll tell you how much. WE DON'T KNOW! I learned one thing last year. Four middle tier free agents is a lot better than 1 high profiled free agent. Much of our success last year was becuase we were able to rotate bodies into the line-up with our depth.

There are reasons many of us "seem" to be sticking up for the FO. The first one being is they finally had some success last year by doing what they are doing. Another reason is we all like to play "GM". We like to analyze what a player should make based on how WE feel. I know one thing, there is NO WAY I pay Antonio Smith 35M, but hey that's just me speaking as if it were my team.

Also, we as fans will stick by players as long as they appear to be reasonable. I'm not sure there was any player on this team that was loved more than Q. That is until he came across to us as a whiny biotch, walked out of the NFC Championship celebration, and then danced around at the pro bowl with Clinton Portis on national tv about how he was going to be waering the Redskin emblem last year.
Sorry dude, that just rubs fans the wrong way.

I can't blame Warner for testing the market. It's the last time he will get this chance. He owes it to himself and his family. But if by some chance the 49er's want to grossly overpay him, well, then it's time to move on. He isn't going to play forever. There will come a time when somebody else will be QB'ing this team.

But please answer my main question. Just how much is too much to pay for Kurt warner's services. I'd really like to hear your opinion.

First, major props on being a fan longer than many of us. Wow. I cannot express how impressed I am with that. Congrats. Really.

Second, many of us here have been on board since day one in AZ and are extremely loyal. We bleed red and lose our voices every game (SDS and now UOP).

If the team left I can say without a doubt that I'd still be a Cardinals fan. Thankfully, because of the commitments made by the Bidwill family to our state and the fans here - the team is NOT going anywhere.

What is the point of this thread again?

I'm loyal to the Cardinals.

Q wants a new contract and all of a sudden he's a bum?

No what makes Q a bum is his tantrums and setting 'deadlines' for new deals.

Over 20mil for 2 years, half of it guranteed is hardly half hearted.

At least the players go out and put their freakin' heart, soul, and bodies on the line for you every weekend.

So much emotive language sure makes them sound so heroic...

Then you realize that these guys all have egos, play a sport for a living and then get paid millions. My heart goes out to them.

Wiz will be gone soon enough.

Nope, he will be around for along time it seems.

I'm a fan of the team. The Bidwills just happen to own the team. If ownership were to change I'd still be a Cardinals fan.

I've bashed the Bidwills in the past for being cheap and letting players leave or not bringing others in. Their refusal to do contracts with bells and whistles held back the franchise for many years...but so did their lack of stadium revenue.

There have been times to bash the Bidwills, but this is not one of those times.

Hey, let's not foget when we do the bells and whistles(incentives) and a player reaches those incentives then we are percieved as stupi for doing that!

You would think this forum would be brimming with confidence that this organization is on the right track and has a plan. Instead one would think we won 3 games last year.
