Who is going to be playing nickle back for us? Cornerback? Safety if someone gets hurt?

We have no depth and a serious lack of talent at db. Why release a gamer? Where is his replacement?

Because DG wants to miss the playoffs and lose out on his million dollar bonus that is why he released a gamer who gets 2 ints every 5 years and can't start for the worst team in the NFL.

In those stats does it say the times that Wilson blew his assignment cause he was freelancing way too much. Or the times the guy is always out of angle and couldn't tackle and wrap up a paper bag if his life dependenting on it.

That has nothing to do with cutting Lucas. Lucas is a scrub.
And freelancing and tackling can both be coached!

nobody proclaimed he was a Pro Bowler in this thread. He was a good backup and a good Special teamer.

Where are our defensive backs? Who are our defensive backs?

Wilson-doesn't cover well, doesn't follow defense plan and role, freelances and gave up making plays to try and kill people but all that did was cause him to get targeted and even his clean hits garner flags. Great potential and measurables. Appears to have problems up stairs.

Jackson-Playmaker and in my opinion solid, gets beat but it might be from covering for Wilson's mistakes.

Renaldo Hill- Makes plays, overachiever. Would be perfect as a 3rd cb and would make plays as nickle. Lacks speed but has great awareness and has his head in the game. Speed kills him on the outside.

Duane Starks - Rep built playing for elite defense and having a great counterpart corner on the opposite side. Short but fast, if he ever gets healthy would be expected to be a shut down corner. Which he never was in Baltimore. Not close to being a sure thing.

Those are our starters, hopefully.

David Macklin - appears to be a Hill clone imho, not fast but can make plays.

Jason Goss - who knows. He has potential and maybe is the reason Lucas became expendible, might be the wild card. I think he could play Safety or corner.

Mike Stone - we have been waiting for this guy. He was like a lost soul in the McGinnis regime, he is fast and good on special teams but his measurables, like Wilson's, leave us hoping and waiting for more. Clock is starting to tick on this guy.

Coby rheinhart - I don't think he ever fully got over that knee injury in that **** hole they call the Metrodome.

Quentin Harris - been on the team for awhile but don't remember him doing much.

Most of the guys I listed are corners. We have 4 safeties. If Djax or Wilson go down we have QHarris and Adrian Mayes???????

It also makes me uncomfortable finding out it was the Rams who snatched him up. This could come back to haunt us....I hope not.

Bell, Parsons, Bush and Tanner was cut for a reason since they are not contributing anyway Lucas was as a good Dime Safety and a good Special Teamer.
