Luck shut down for rest of the 2017 season

We need to hit on a young QB. Get the 4 or 5 years on the cheap. No way I would roll the dice on Luck right now. Just an ok QB is going to get paid 30 million soon.

I heard it was the same injury as Chad Pennington suffered and Chad was never the same. Ended up with a decent career but far from what it could have been.

Hope Luck's story ends up better.

The Chargers let Drew Brees walk because of a bum shoulder, (and to be fair, because they also had Marmalard (Philip Rivers) waiting in the wings.) But the Dolphins had the inside track on signing him before the Saints, and they passed - due to concerns about his shoulder. We all know how that turned out.

I'd deal for Luck in a heartbeat, assuming he gets medically cleared. And I'd find a GM committed to putting an OL in front of him who would ensure he doesn't get killed (again), which we need anyways.

IMO he has no O line there and they knew all along he wasn't going to play....but they couldn't tell the season ticket base and potential buyers that Luck wasn't going to play. Look at the history of this...Coach P said many times, "I don't know what's going on with the recovery of Andrew Luck." PAH LEASE!!!! He's the Head Coach and his star player has been out and he's never asked.....get real. They kept it under wraps.
