Just for comparison's sake, why is Luck so much better than say, Matt Barkley? They have pretty much the same numbers this year and USC doesn't have the running game that Stanford has.

Who has Stanford played?

That's true but they play in different systems. Stanford is NOT a passing team they're a running team, they play multipl TE's all the time, they often play 7 OL's at once.

USC this year is a passing team. I like Barkley quite a bit but he has some talent and speed at WR, Luck really doesn't.

Luck's completion % is inflated by the offense, less deep throws, but his overall stats are diminished because of the offense they run too much for him to get gaudy stats.

Admittedly though Stanford has played a weak schedule.

Would we have the time and money to be like the Colts and take Luck and have him watch and learn for a couple of years?

With our Luck though if we drafted Andrew he'd either mess up his hip, refuse to sign with the Cards and eventually sign with the Jets, or quit football and join the Rodeo.

or return to Stanford...wouldn't that just be our Luck ;)
