He was solid in '13, but terrible in '14.

Let's hope he passes his physical first & returns back to his '13 form.

He is not much of an upgrade to what we have already. SK should have been looking to improve the C position since it has been a weakness for years.

Middle of the line will get pushed back on a consistent basis putting CP in danger of getting injured. And the run game will suffer.

Bullhead, you say that he (LS) is not much of an upgrade. So does that mean he IS an upgrade?
Not really sure at this point, but based on what Shipley and Larsen look like in practice and the fact that SK is bringing LS in speaks loudly.

I have never been happy with LS at C. I think it has been a weak link in the Oline for years. He does know the system, but gets blown up quite a bit and has no push on run plays.

A healthy Sendlien is a little better than Larson and Shipley, but there are two other options that could work out for us. Anthony Steen and Jon Cooper. Steen looked pretty good in the practice I saw. I fully believe Cooper's best position is at center. My hope is that he gets tried at center this preseason and wins the job.

Smart move on Keim's part. Both Shipley and Larsen have no business in the NFL at center.

I just looked at the thread, "Video of the OL Blocking", and Shipley looked great. I realize that it was just ONE PLAY, but he moves very well.

Exactly. When we got rid of him, I was hoping we'd upgrade the position. Ugh.

u dont get too much in a competition if 3 mediocre players challenge each others

No, sadly, it isn't :(

When Cards drafted cooper, they said he could play center, what about going with him at center and watford at rt or something?

Hope he works out and can take over the center position. He knows the system and he is quality there. All depends on if he stayed in shape though

Hopefully the upgrade at LG can help with the issues that plagued Sendlin last season.

I don't see how bringing back Lyle Sendlein can be a bad thing if the center position is questionable. The Cardinals must think likewise.

I didn't like the Shipley move and from the few training camp videos I've seen he hasn't impressed me at all. Larsen is solid as a depth player only. I'll take Sendlein over either of those two at this point.
