Not a ROH guy, but the guy deserves some level of recognition from fans and the organization. He was the one consistent element on that line since U of P opened, pretty much. Maybe name a concession stand after him? :D

Lyle's very average hot dog stand ?

............I am such a jerk. Guy has been good to us, I should let him punch me in the arm as hard as he wants.....just once. I do not even want to think about how much that would hurt, and for how long.

Lyle Sendlein started in 2 NFC Championship games and 1 Super Bowl. Gave it all he had, played through countless injuries and helped the Arizona Cardinals achieve unprecedented success. 5-3 playoff record with him in the pivot. Not too shabby for an underrated free agent.

He is a local guy, I wonder if he is another one who will end up working for the organization in some capacity

Guy is awesome, just shows how passion and work can trump ability in a profession.

Great career for an undrafted player if this is true. Highlights the fact that players fail in the league largely because of reasons outside of athleticism.

Yeah, he had a nice run for us. I actually thought he played better last year than the two or three previous seasons.

If true, I always appreciated him. He wasn't the best in the league, but he did a good job over a nearly 9 year career. In fact, it's pretty hard to see him go. We're getting close to the end for the guys that we drafted or picked up during my college years, which is a bummer for me. I'm not too far from the point where guys that are my age are going to start retiring from the NFL with a few outliers. Not looking forward to that time.

I have bitched about Lyle needing to be replaced since his third year as a starter...... but I never had to bitch about him being out of the game... he was not the strongest or most talented center for sure...but he always played hard....gotta respect that regardless.

it says a little something though...we all know Lyle is not top notch,....but I saw the thread title and was like ..oh ****!...at the though that we had no back up plan to Shipley,lol....

Got to hand it to the guy. He played hard every game he was in. Never was a slacker. Never possessed great talent. Just a hard working and gutsy blue collar guy who did his best each time out. He was a pre-eminent over achiever. I hope we can find someone who plays as hard as he did.

Apparently when asked about his retirement, Sendlein just tweeted, "No I am not." MJ suggested that he tell his coach.

thought it was kinda funny.... BA mentions Lyle retiring..

when it is brought up on twitter lyle responds with "NO, I'm NOT"...

so then someone mentions.... "maybe you should tell your coach"...lol

perhaps BA mentioned it because they have yet to hear from Lyle's agent?

either way I am pretty sure the incident started some sort of dialogue, lol
