Of the 53 man starting roster.......players under Mac's stewardship=31; players picked under Green's watch=22

I'd say a pretty significant overhaul so far in year #1 for Green.

If you look at starters, the change is even more dramatic –

New starters on offense are: Wells, McCown, Fitz and Diamond/Femi (depending on formation) --- 4 of 11

New starters on defense are: Zellner, Dockett, Kolodjeiz, Berry, Dansby, Macklin and Harris. Throw in Starks, who while a Mac guy was injured last year, and you get 8 new starters on defense.

Overall, 12 of 22 starters are different.

Not exactly correct:

On Defense, the following are Green's guys: Zellner (KVB is officially #2); Dockett; Berry and Macklin.......add in Ohalete( he'll be back up only for game #1).

On Offense, you are correct as Green has the following: Stephanovich; Fitzgerald and Ayanbadejo.

Has someone posted the Cardinals two-deep depth chart somewhere? Have the Cardinals announced it?

Green is obviously blowing up the roster to get rid of the losing mentality and brings his own guys in. I like it

Jurecki kept saying throughout training camp that "certain veterans had not bought into the system"...sounds like..off the record - he was getting alot of eye rolls when asked about the head coach from certain veterans (his words)......he seemed to repeat this information often during training camp.....

My wild guess.....Dexter Jackson is one of the eye rollers.....I think they wanted to trade or cut him - but they could not due to his injury...so they put him on IR with hopes of reaching an injury settlement...I think he is goner...

Jurecki has made other comments that last year certain rookies were making statements like: Only xxx more years (Depending on how long their contract was) and I am out of here.....

Jurecki is also ragging on dennis green quite a bit of late......he is on a tangent of how he does not tell the truth....he says one thing one day - and something else the next.....

My opinion: I do not care about what green says to the media. What I care about is eye rollers (implying that they have not bought into the system)..they need to go or change attitudes...and I think Green wants no eye rollers on his roster ....he will do what it takes to get rid of them....

Devil's advocate. Maybe it's the way Green changes his mind so much, that is leading to some of the eyes rolling?

Yes it's good to keep players on their toes and constantly competing for jobs, but I think some of the stuff Green is doing is simply confusing or frustrating some of the players.

I have no idea if that's the case with Dex but I think players play the game and they have a pretty good idea who on their own team can play, and who can't. So when they see guys who they believe aren't very good, playing ahead of guys who they think are much better, they start to question if the coach is really trying to win. That's where the not buying in comment likely comes from. Green sees it as purging the team of guys who he thinks have the "losing" mentality, but to some of the players they're saying if you were ok on a bad team, if the talent around you gets better, so will you.

THat's my take at least. Green is trying to do the right thing but I can see where some of the players are going to be confused, if he stuck to one message it would help, but he keeps changing.

Didnt Cincy have something like 33 new players once Marvin Lewis was done with the roster last year?

I visit the Vikes message board now and again, and they tell me Green doesn't like the media. If the local media doesn't buy into him, he will mislead them. A smart move really.

Has Dexter even been around camp long enough to roll his eyes? Also, wasn't it Dexter that thought our camps were too light last year and how the team needed to pick it up? I recall him "dancing" around and singing when KVB and Big got into a fight, effectively saying that is how camps are supposed to be run.

To me, Dex seems much more like a Denny Green kind of player (when healthy) rather than a Coach Mac country club style coach. I just think that he has been too injured this year to take part. Bad luck for us and him.

Not that I've been to camp to see for myself, I'm just basing my opinions on what I've read in here.

Go Cards!!!

Mac did that for 3 years! And they all LOVED him! I think we just had a bunch of guys buying into the Cardinals history, and didn't like having to actually WORK for their checks.

Screw 'em. If you're good, you will play...Period.

I realize this but the point was to emphasize the wholesale changes underway with Green.

And to drive the point a little further.....Player is not a Green guy. He is one of those "clubhouse lawyers" that Green dispises. He tried to find another P in the off season but reluctantly agreed that there was no one better that was available.

McKinnon will not last this year under Green. He's likely to be replaced by G.Hayes before too long. Green had to sit down with Thompson and read him the riot act. If Thompson didn't get Green's message, he was out of here.

We know all about the Shelton situation, save to say that again, Green would have loved to jettison him if it was remotely possible.

Clement/Davis are the only one who has escaped from Green's ire of this group.

NO Russ!!! Jurecki is just a plain Jerk. Devil's advocate no way, just a jerk.
He is our NFL insider; could have fooled me. He puts down the Cards at the drop of a hat. Today he stated that we would only win 4 games this year if we are lucky. Mr B. and Mike B. didn't bring in DG to regress.

Jurecki and most of the sport media in Phoenix just hate the the "B" family. Trust me Russ, Mike cares less about the Cards then most other sports writers in the valley. I am surprised that the Cards haven't cut ties with him along time ago.

I would be surprised if there weren't guys rolling their eyes on every team.

All I'm saying is if I'm at work and my boss is constantly changing the plan, I either think he's a genius for changing on the fly, or an idiot for not knowing what he's doing. And that's likely what Jurecki is seeing with the players.

No Russ you have to listen to him on AM 1060 the duce radio. He really puts down the Cardinals. He is so pissed off that his buddy Mac is gone that he is taking out his vennum on DG. His voice inflections and just attitude towards the team just sucks. MJ is not what I would think that is a true NFL Insider
Well not in my judgement. He finds fault with ever Cardinal move being made by the "B's." He just doesn't know where his bread is buttered I guess.

Sorry Russ but MJ really must go or we are going to loose more Card Fans after each of is radio shows.
