I called last night, and here in Vegas the PC version comes out today-which I am buying immediatly. Last night I saw 2004 on the shelves at BlockBuster and they have had it for a few days.

Someone PLZ let me know how the draft works on this years... You used to beable to see the players ratings... When they got rid of that it messed up the franchise mode IMO... You cant draft anyone worth crap.

To me, I kind of liked how they did the draft ratings last year. You scouted players, looked at the measurables, had your scouts look at a limited number of players, they were "rated", and then you took a chance on a player that you thought would be good.

The first year I drafted, I had a lot of needs on both the teams I was playing with (Cards and Falcs), so I just drafted the best player available at one of the positions of need. The second year, I targeted players that I wanted, and drafted them based on their "numbers", regardless of who else was available (i.e., in the third round, I bypassed a player that was rated as a 1st-2nd rounder for a player that I'd scouted and liked, but was rated as a solid 3rd rounder) and that didn't turn out as well at all. There's a lot of chance involved with scouting and drafting, and the game reflects that.

I like the 2003 draft better, it's more realistic. You can be pretty sure that the guys rated higher will have better ratings so you shouldn't be too surprised. The only thing I don't like is how injury prone the majority of highly rated quarterbacks are. Way too many of them have an inj rating of 40-60 which is rediculous.

I agree that it is more realistic, but I like to draft players for certian reasons besides overall rating, like speed/awareness, stuff like that.

If there were two guys there I would take the less rated guy for the speed or maybe the awareness. It would varey for each position, but Those are the things I prefer.

It would be nice if there was an option to have the rating's listed OR the more realistic version.

When you scout a player, it would mention good/bad awareness, and the scouting reports from the combine mentioned "interview" ratings, 40 and shuttle times, and I think Wunderlic scores (maybe not Wunderlic, since I think they'd have to license it...). Those should all give you an idea of what you're getting in the speed and awareness departments.

First person football, yeah!!!

This may be the game I have been waiting for. Recieved the demo disc with XBOX mag and the disc was defective.
Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for the replacement disc to arrive. If done well this game could rock! But I definately want to check it out before committing the $$'s

Thanks for the video link SweetD. It looks good! :D
