Just pre ordered my copy.. Like every year.. But this year I got the Amazon Anniversary Edition.. It is $99 but you get a full season of Sunday Ticket for free with Red Zone.. So basically, for the extra $40 that's what you get.. They are only selling 50k per console on Amazon with this deal.. Only on PS3 or Xbox360..

And if you don't have Directv it will have a code that you can watch the games on tablets or mobile devices or computers..

Just preordered it based solely on the sunday ticket. I dont have Directv so be curious to see how this works because sunday ticket to go was purely if you had a Directv account

It is only available via tablet, smartphone or computer. You can't use it with your TV provider.

Correct but you will need to sign in through Directv's website to watch it on your computer, or at least thats what I had to do when I had Directv 2 years ago. Im just going to connect my laptop to my tv so it will be the same as watching it on tv for me.

Anybody know to update rosters without Xbox Live Gold? I refuse to pay money to download patches, WTF.

Likely out of luck. Gold is all encompassing online service and madden made it so you have to actually go online to get the roster years and years ago.

Gold is so worth it though, love it. Goes WAY beyond the patches.

If you do get gold, scour amazon, they often have it at a hefty discount (like $45 vs $60)

So Gee! Is it worth the trouble? Is there a franchise mode again?

There was franchise mode on last years.. I played it just like I always did.. But ya, there is a franchise mode this year too.. I haven't played it yet but my buddy has..

This is one of the cleanest Maddens yet.. Gameplay is so smooth.. Feels more like your playing a real game.. I gotta say I think it is one of the best yet.. Last years was too cloggy. You hit buttons waiting for the next screen forever.. Not this year.. Feels good playing this one..

It wouldn't be so bad if John Abraham didn't get snapped up out of free agency the moment I start a franchise, LOL.

Supposedly these guys will have an offline roster up soon:

It's good. The owner mode is awesome...brings back some of the better franchise mode options of the past, and you still get to play the games. Digging that.

Ultimate is good too.

I agree with Gee, this one feels more smooth than recent versions. I like the precision controls when carrying the ball. Lots of playcalling options, and what I REALLY like are each position has different hot route options, and you can audible to any play that the personnel grouping you have on the field is in (so you have more options at the LOS).

I can not seem to guard the outside run and seems like more kick returns are going for big yards than before

The ex girlfriends' 22 year old son seems to love it. He actually stopped killing zombies and other shoot em ups to play Madden after I gave him the game. I just kept the Sunday Ticket coupon.

Second year in a row Madden has been a huge bummer for me. The AI defense in this game is a joke. Drives seem to end in either a score or an interception, with the game set on All Madden i am completing 79% of my passes with Palmer throwing for 5 TDs and 2 picks a game, converting on 80% of my 3rd downs. And I am no expert at this game, its simply the passing defenses are really terrible.

At least they fixed the animation glitches of last year's game, but if you want a realistic feel of a football game I think Madden 10 and 11 are much much superior games. The might not have the fancy tackling animations but scoring in those games feels rewarding, you feel like you achieved something, rather than what I am getting in Madden 25, where Jeff King can easily go for 140 yards a game if you keep doing short dumpoffs.

I heard that offenses are impossible to stop in the new Madden. Defenses are powerless against the offenses in Madden 25?

Until I can control multiple teams in franchise mode again without having to go online, I'm sticking with Madden 2012.
