No worse than in 2005, the last game at SDS: "Thanks for the memories, both of them."

Man... The Cards brass who yay or nay that banner have no sense of humor. The above is hilarious.

Oh wait... Did they allow the above and not today's? That's weird.

They did allow the one in 2005.. I recall MJ saying that is the only game the cards tried to push him into a positive message, but that one was unanimously loved on the cards msg board.

Well I at least got my pic made with it. Sorry it didn't get hung, but I thought the game slogan I came up with was spot on & this team is in desperate mode now! :madarms:

Thanks for the hospitality Jack

It was a great slogan. One of the best in my opinion. Hey Bucky, where's your Kangol? :)

That was a bad idea.

Everyone around here goes into meltdown mode whenever we trip up, but the banner always need to be positive. This slogan is sarcastic. Of course they wouldnt approve it.

And worse yet, it risks ruining the team relationship going forward. Maybe no banners ever now.

Gotta be more mature, more controlled, and smarter with slogan choice.

Total BS Bodha! It was a subtle message to the team using their HCs motto. It just shows you how weak this organization is they don't want to hurt the feelings of our soft thin skinned wussy ass players! Just go with a blank banner next time and say hey nothing positive to say so just left it blank in protest since you wusses won't even allow a subtle we're dissapointed message!

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

He has done plenty of similar banners before.

Not allowing the banner to be hung is a joke. The team needs fixing. The fans know it. The fans are screaming for it. Hiding the banner on game day benefits no one. Now the fans feel like the team has their head hidden in the sand rather than facing the reality of the situation. Bad form, Cardinals. Bad form.

Madjack:

I can only imagine your disappointment when the powers that be said no to your banner.

Personally, it upsets me because your devotion to the Cards is obvious. You put a lot of effort into finding the right message as part of the Birdgang.

This team needed a kick in the butt...the banner stated the truth.

My hope is that whoever OK's the banner realizes that. If someone was afraid feelings would be hurt or a negative message would be promoted...well.... a 1 and 3 record does exactly that. And that's on the team that can't seem to fix it.

To Michael: Free the Banner.

There hadn't been official wording from mad jack that it was banned. Would love to hear from @MadJack on what really happened?

They've allowed MUCH worse in the past. Do not give them quarter here.

Team's wrong. Youre wrong. I know its difficult to believe, but yes, you too, can be wrong. And you are.

Is the goal to feel self validated? I have a message! I deserves to be heard! I have a right to speak my mind!

or is the goal to have your banner in the stadium?

I could've told you from 10,000 miles away that banner would be shot down. Go ahead and write any message you want on it and display it proudly from the parking lot.

Or you can choose something the team will approve, and hang it in the stadium.

He has done hundreds of these banners. Several have been very sarcastic. Never has the team refused to hang his banner until now. Just shows how insecure the team is about anyone questioning the team at this point. Bad form, IMHO.

You have to recognize times have changed. We're a brand name now. We've had several years of success. The team isn't going to approve criticism to be broadcast within the stadium. Nor should they. No model franchise ever endorses any sort of denunciation of the team. Ever. When their players get in legal trouble, the team protects the player and protects the brand. The Cardinals are not a Mom & Pop shop anymore, you cant expect them to operate like one.

Yeah..until he says it people need to chill.

Our friend who runs the camera directly above the banner said the team would not allow it to be displayed. In his words - "The team banned it."

I have not heard it from Madjack, but my friend is there every game - right where they hang the banner. He usually helps them.

As Arians himself would say we ain't done poo! This franchise is still has ZERO rings, still looked down on by many! You can't talk super bowl then show up with the trash play we have seen so far and not expect backlash! Weak team mentally obviously they are trying not to upset the softies on the team!

I think we've all seen how truly fast the ride is from the penthouse to the $@#$ house.

By my count, we're gonna have to go 9-3 the rest of the way to make the play-offs. If palmer misses any time - I don't like our odds. SF always plays us tough. This week won't be a cakewalk by any stretch.

Back on topic though, I didn't think the banner was bad enough to stir up this much angst among fans - especially given everyone's mood following the 1-3 start.

whoever is in charge of banner approvals totally screwed the pooch on this one.
Someone should get there early and sit outside the player entrance with that banner...it is a message the team needs to get.

the next banner should read

"Safe Space"
