I hate it. We are saying one of the following:

#1. We want to be the Ravens because they were black

#2. Wearing red is a negative connotation (as it is supposed to be "Orange is the new black")

#3. We care more about a show about women in prison than we do about our 4-1 football team.

None of those options speak well of the Cardinals.

_____ is the new black isn't a negative connotation. The saying goes a long way back before Orange and it's always meant that something is the new style, replacing the old. That's what the Cards and Red is. Besides, it doesn't even have much to do with Baltimore since their colors are predominantly purple, IMO.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the purpose of the banner should be focused on the Cardinals drive to the Super Bowl. Cutesy play on words for the opponent each week just doesn't drive emotion. You have the only banner allowed. Work it to a theme. The '79 Pirates "We are Family", the BOSOX, "Why Not Us?", etc. One banner, for every game left. Get a national following. Something to drive the players and fans up as well. What's our motto for this monumental year?
